It's paradise only briefly, but then... a cowboy's favorite colors are "black and blue".

Also if the car weren't so realistic I'd say it were a scene from Spongebob

yippie kay ay get along little dogie, yodelaheeeeee, yodelaheeeeeee....you inspired me to sing like a cowboy. My instrument was the drums, you don't see to many cowboys drumming around the campfire, although that would make an interesting drawing. Good one Cindy!

Okay, bored with this. Good practice in hands, I guess. I kind of like the 'dirty' look of this one. I just remembered painting Stevie Ray Vaughn in oils on canvas for the one of my brothers who plays guitar...I had completely forgotten about that painting.

Warrior goddess in Greek Mythology. Goddess of Hunt... excellent with bow and arrow, known for her fierce independence, competitiveness and physical skills. Often regarded to as "one of the boys.", although she was also known for her beauty. :)

I giggle every time I think about this. Several years ago, a friend of mine and I went dancing in Fort Worth, and afterwards we were just driving around and happened upon this cheesey place in the old part of town off the interestate called the Pink Poodle Cafe. I just had to check it out. It had these sticky old booths and those little juke box things at each one. It looked like all of the waitresses had raided the hair dye shelves at the Piggly Wiggly next door and I was surprised when any of them actually had teeth. There was some drunk old guy in a back booth who was loading quarters into the juke box and singing Amarillo by Morning at the top of his lungs. He kept falling out of the booth, and then he got up and walked his check. (well, walked, staggered) When the waitresses noticed they all took off running after him down the street... it was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life - pink aprons flying.. (their huge hair, being glued down by many cans of Aquanet, did not budge) I laughed so hard I cried. It was just like a scene from those movies that are supposed to be about Texas and everyone is like that. :) (This was our waitress... and I have depicted her kindly. Hah!)

thug (Mar 23, 2004)
I have such a clear picture in my head of that scene and it's making me smile as I write this. I agree with DinoFlorist, you should draw her running after the drunk.

Tonight when I finished bathing I went to my dresser to put on my perfume like I always do, and when I turned on the lamp I saw that the bottles were glowing, some of them casting light on the others and I thought it was beautiful. I wondered how many times I had stood there seeing that but not seeing it.

Of course I didn't capture it as pretty as it was, but I tried. And I hope the names of the perfume you use don't say anything about your character. (lol)

No, yall are right, it does look weird. I kept looking at it and I obviously couldn't nail it either. The bottle on the left is an odd shape, and so is the lid, (The glass does angle in and the lid just plops on, it doesn't screw on and it was at that angle) but I don't think that's the problem... I just did it wrong somehow.

Knockoff (Mar 22, 2004)
Thats really nice. ;)
You always have the smoothest coloring and colors!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 22, 2004)
(Hey, do you think if I mix the new perfume Paint with the old Obsession one I'll get it right?) lol

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 21, 2004)

I used a reference pic for this, of course I don't have these in my backyard. Umm, as a matter of fact, I jacked this magazine from the lobby of a place in Fort Worth the other day because I saw this picture and I couldn't bear to leave him. :) The photograph is so cute that it made me smile everytime I glanced at it while drawing this, and if I captured even half of his cuteness, you should smile, too.
