still lots of fun. Tried to build/keep a balanced composition.... but I guess there are still a lot of distracting elements. The area around the red 'V' was meant to be the center of attention(most contrasts). I have no problem you'd kill half the composition for something better. I can do some of this or try a few things with Photoshop to see how we could polish the composition. I'd be great if we try a few things.
Of course add as much new elements as you like, but we should try to work towards a composition which works ...
edit: already messed a bit in Photoshop LINK just for fun.
Yeah, I saw you did draw your latest art with lascaux. I never use it, but I don't dislike it :)
I know what you mean with the composition, maybe the path on the left is a little to bright? I'll revise it in the afternoon, now I have to go to the beach.. It's to hot here...
It'll revise it tomorrow, I promise..
Sure no problem ... today it's also pretty boiling hot where I live.
Yeah the bottom left corner creates too much of a contrast with the region right beside it. Maybe if we brighten the whole bottom region then it's losing its contrast and thus create not so much attention. Or as you said darken it ... but maybe that will lessen the depth. Or we accept it and use this as a region of hight attention, because it creates somewhat a line towards the weird 'V', so it's not really ripping the composition apart. But I'm not sure. I guess and hope darkening will do the job :)
I put it on the second layer, so if you liked it better wehn it was lighter you can delete the second layer :) Tomorrow I'll work more on, before I go on holiday :)
edit: some additional editing in Photoshop LINK. In the edit the region around the 'V' is less toned in brown, so it stands more out. Also added a bit glow. I guess it would be a pain to try similar changes in lascaux.
Yeah, absolutely! Thanks :)
I'm a bit sick, my nose is full with shit, due the airco, and I sleeped 17 houres last night ;) But yeah, it was fantastic.
I've enough time this day (and the next couple of days), because i don't have to work.
uhuuuh... what they said. This is fantabulous for lack of a proper word. The only thing that bugs me, if you don't mind me saying so, is that the "path" on the left thats nearest to the viewer is a bit out of focus and fuzzy compared to the rest of the picture. I love this though, I want to hang it on my wall.

Not sure how much further we want to take our painting... currently I feel like just fix a few smaller things. What do you think?

Yeah, the path is out-of-focus. If you read our comments you know why we did that ;)
It was really fun to do :)
