Thanks for all the nice comments y'all =) When I was living at home with my parents, we had a dog whose mother was a white german shepherd and father was an Illinois wolf. What a GREAT dog that was! She had mixed markings of white and wolf with the stature and "rib cage" of a wolf. Biggest baby tho!!!! LOL

STARZSHINE (Mar 9, 2008)
Elly I had a Malamute timber wolve mix. His name was Maxx, he had one brown eye and one blue eye, he was the nuttiest dog I ever owned, he thought he was a person. He would sit on our couch with his hiney on the seat and his front paws on the floor. He was that big. He wasn't as tall as a great dane, but he was really long in the torso/abdomen like timber wolves are. When he stood on his hind legs he could put his forepaws on my husband's shoulders and rest his head on my husband's. He is 5'9. When he got to be about 6 months old we were awakened at night with the most unearthly sound, it gave us the willies, and we went to see what it was. It was our Maxx learning to do his wolf howl, omg, it was so funny but really creepy at the same time, lol. He loved to howl for the ladies, for sure. We unfortunately had to give him away when we moved from out of the country because he was too big and too wild. He loved to run and he did hunt. He weighed about 150lbs. He was a big dog, but your pic reminds me so much of him, if your pic had a right blue eye. Thanks for the memories...I miss the crazy boy. He has probably passed on though. His sister was owned by my sister's inlaws they had her till she was 17. An incredible age for a dog.
