Well, you're almost there...Torsos are generally longer than what you've drawn, and a longer torso allows you to create more stucture with the back muscles and bones. Near the bottom, the outside lines point in, and then point back out to form the shoulders...oh, it's too hard to explain in words. XP

furyofroy thats true but mostly for females. females are more hourglass shaped but males are more like triangles pointing downwards. or in most cases anyways.
