I am looking to start a 2draw ART blog, that is an editorialized news feed about digital art, art on the web, and art in general. The goal is to provide a source of inspiration, information, and entertainment for aspiring artists and admirers of art alike.

The content will be primarily media (images, video) showcasing various artists and art related media, but also original editorial content. Once things get rolling we will probably look into monthly/weekly features such as spotlights, interviews, etc..

This post is a call for participation. I am looking for people interested (on a purely voluntary basis, for the time being) in being involved with this project either as an editor or contributer. For editors, writing experience (ie knowing how to write) is a requirement, prior blogging experience a plus. For contributers, being able to find interesting content (generally through the Internet, but other sources are also a plus) would be a useful skill.

Why would you want to volunteer?

The main reason? Make 2draw a better place, contribute back to the site and the community. One of the primary purposes of 2draw is to spread the word art and creativity. 2draw provides tools and community for free because money should not be a limiting factor in art. I think it's also important to make people aware of art outside of 2draw both for inspirational and intellectual reasons.

You'll get a chance to make your opinions heard and promote content to the community as a whole.

On top of that, it would be good experience/practice if blogging/journalism is something you're interested in.

And it should be fun! If the blog does well, it could mean a lot as far as promoting 2draw and getting cool exclusive content (interviewing cool artists?).

I could write a thing or two, however I do not quite grasp the raw diction of a pseudo-intellectual art critic. Assuming that is what you are looking for, amirite?

If 2draw gets an art blog, I would expect a few comical entries made by the character Zoraw. Just for a gimmick to get a few viewers. In all seriousness, though, I think informal writing should be used to discuss the art featured. You could also do theme weeks and whatnot.

Ok, so I'm going to move forward with this. Is there anyone interested in being an editor? I am looking for one or two people to help manage/organize/run the blog. You'd be in charge of the focus/direction of the blog as well as finding content/contributers.

I'd actually be really interested in being an editor...although I would seem an unlikely candidate.

I know AutoCad like the back of my hand.
And I can use inventor, but I don't have It on my home computer yet.
I don't know if any of these skills would help.

I have a few design ideas, Ill try to draw em out if thatll help. The idea is sort of like a newspaper looking backround not random print but like you read it like a newspaper with the articles and some pictures and stuff. If thats stupid Ill keep trying.

Use the current 2draw design, but change it up a little.

Maybe the 2draw design with a different color scheme.
