This is so gray and gloomy that it makes me feel melancholy (that's not an insult to your art, just to clarify). It makes me think of heavy, cloudy days on the beach when I really want to play in the water and the sun and it doesn't rain or start blowing hurricane winds, (which is fun, too) it just sits there and stays gray, like a big wet blanket. :D This makes me feel something, I like it. Wonderful work, here. :)

I think this is your best Nautical piece, and if I had a favorites folder it would go right in it. You captured a watercolor feel, finished with charcoal and ink. You got the mistiness so right. Love this.

I like the subtle details, cool composition as well.

Dave, this is a very nice, well drawn composition. The gray days are my favorite, I am one of those weird people that would rather have a gray rainy day that a sunny bright one. I am in my best moods when it is cloudy and gray and raining. I have one daughter out of three that is the same way. So this picture is right down my alley. I would love to be on that boat as it roams the sea. Such a peaceful feeling I would have. How relaxing (as long as the waves didn't get too big) I would truly enjoy the ride. Yes...you are really good at boats. It is nice to be really good at things, even if it is just one or two. I don't know if I am really good at anything, but I am mediocre at about everything. Probably even my spelling. LOL Great job on this Dave, if you don't mind, I would like to save this to my computer.
