Wow, this is beautiful. I have a lot of memories of being at the zoo with my dad, and there would always be these peacocks wandering around in the sun. :)

The colors are very pretty...his head and the little feathers on it are very well done. Remember those pictures of hens and chickens and stuff people used to make by gluing dried beans and corn and stuff to a canvas board? This made me think of that... his back looks like somebody just glued a whole cob of corn there. =]

Yea.. the back sucks.. I worked on that for a long time and gave up.. I couldnt get it right...oh well.. the neck and head worked ok.. thanks you guys...

After I said that I read it, and I thought maybe it sounded kind of derogatory and I hoped it didn't hurt your feelings, I didn't mean it that way. I have this terrible personality flaw that I can't get rid of, that sometimes I just say exactly what I think... sometimes I go back and apologize (in "real time")... here sometimes I delete it, but honestly....this is really me being honest... I enjoy a lot of your art. I liked this one. I love the bright colors, and I think the little plume thingy on his head is wonderful, and the fact that the back looks like corn made me smile, and reminded me of those horrid corn/bean pictures (my little brothers made one for my mother one time that she refused to take off the wall until the stuff started to fall off and I refused to have any of my friends over because of it :D)...and if you knew how many pictures I started in my gallery and deleted because I couldn't make them "work"... you'd feel really good. Actually, a lot of the stuff I go ahead and submit doesn't "work". Ok...well, did you know peacocks are dangerous when it's mating season? lol

(I heard a Tennessee girl tell a story one time about one that saw his reflection in her SUV and attacked the door and hurt himself... she was drinkin' whiskey, but I know she was telling the truth :D)

Just think of it this way, those are little flecks of peas, so peacock... get it? Hahahahaha, I slay myself sometimes.

Davinci, I wouldn't want you to change a thing in this painting. Peacocks are one of my favorite birds. I was going to cross stitch one once but was overwhelmed by all the thread I would have to buy. Must have been a hundred of them. I think you did a beautiful work. All I could say when I saw it was 'Wow'. I am impressed.

Both of the revisions are really good. The depth in this one, not just from the background but, from the face and everything in the bird is really cool. Almost feels alive.
