Contest Week 44: Request a drawing! 2 week long contest

Your goal these next 2 weeks is to draw a request from a 2Draw member. Requests can be made to any member of 2Draw but they must be posted on this thread and you can only request drawings from one artist. For those receiving requests, you might get more than one request but you can only pick one request to draw. Please include the drawing request and the 2Draw member who requested it in your drawing description. Good luck and do not copy other artists work...unless it was requested. :)

Additional Criteria: You will be judged on how well you followed your request as stated on this thread.

01-29-07 RULE CHANGE: You can now request drawings from members who have not formally asked for requests. Also, you do not have to request drawings anymore BUT if you wish to participate, you must take your requests from this thread. Make sure to read the rules again, they've been revised.

HOW TO MAKE A REQUEST: **Please read this before making a request or taking one**

You can make as many requests as you want but to only one 2Draw member. When making a drawing request for this contest, please be sure to outline everything you want in your drawing, be detailed and concise. Make sure you clearly state which 2Draw artist you want to draw your request. Part of the judging criteria for this contest will be based on exactly what is stated in the request. Only what is stated/requested on this forum will be applied to the entry when judged. In other words, make sure you make it clear what you want on this thread and no where else because only requests on this board will qualify.

NOTE: If you do not get a request after the first week of this contest (pending you asked), you may choose someone else's request from this thread...but only if you didn't get any requests yourself. Your alternative request must come from this thread.

Contest Week 44 will be open for entries from Sunday January 28th, to, February 10th, 11:59 PM PST.

deathking: No, the person who makes the request doesn't have to draw anything.

This is how you do this contest, step by step:

1. Formally ask for drawing requests on this thread. Say something like this "Does anyone have a drawing request for me?"
2. Once you have some requests, pick one you want to draw and draw it.
3. When you're finished drawing your request, make sure to cut and paste the request as it's stated on this thread in your entry description and include the name of the member who made the request.

Now you're done. Hope that helps.

Can I tell that person what I want for request?...........Is like I'm taking request from some body, but I'm at the same time I'm telling out for a request but for an other person..."not from the one I got the request"........you get me right?....

...so the party of the first part, here in referred to as the artist (not to imply in any way shape or form that parties other than the party of the first part are or are not artists themselves) being the recipient of said request after formally requesting said request does hereby enter into an agreement with the party of the second part, here in referred to as the requester, to draw said request in full as per specific description by said "requester" while the party of the first part or "artist" .....Further more and in conclusion......blah blah blah. For fuck sake....just draw, people.

but if the person that asks for (or requests) requests chooses a request and then the person that made the request decides to take requests (so that they can be in the contest too) decides to choose a request that happens to be from the same person that chose their request it would then be equivalent to an art trade.

To be clear the one doing the draw asks what to draw, we don't ask the artist first.

I noticed this may be the longest thread for a contest. If I may suggest making a new one Klox. And yes, a little order is needed. If someone decides they're going to draw a picture they should claim so and be restricted to that one draw, but that would be up to Klox, this is getting a little crazy.

The length of this thread is not what I'm worried about. I just want people to know this thread is for the contest, and only the contest. Take your regular requests somewhere else.

I am probably breaking the rules, but I have two requests of two different artists. I wish staci would paint an antique Victorian Valentine card... with an antiquated, antiquey (can I make up words, too?) looking girl on it, because... she's good at that sort of thing and I like it....and I wish Axil62 would paint a brown paper sack with a paper lace heart stuck to it, like you made in grade school to put Valentine cards in, because I remember this http://cellosoft.com/2draw/view/37925/... I don't think anyone could do paper more perfectly than that was done, and...

I would love to paint Tako for you, but I wouldn't be able to do it for the contest - I'm leaving for my brother's house this evening and although I'll be able to pop in here, I won't be able to paint for a couple of days. If you wanted to wait, I would be happy to do it for you later.

too general. I don't really have a single favorite artist on 2draw. but maybe given a subject matter I can pick one I feel aligns well (or doesn't, for that matter)

ok, the subject matter/theme is depicting drunkeness. I can picture a huge zep character peering over an emptying pint glass, or a cloxboy face clearly intoxicated. You could go for a realistic cindy whiskey glass, or an axil cartoon of some hick sitting on his couch next to a pile of empty cans. You could maybe go for broke and draw a drunken xiau or lord v character or get creative and imagine how crimson would do it. The ball is in your court, but man i wish some1 suggested that for me :(

marcello: you should draw a realistic shark eating an anime style girl eating an impressiontic style cake (like, just putting the whole cake in her mouth) and the cake eating an ant in any style you choose. :)

edit: i suppose you could substitute in zoraw into one of those if you really wish.
