Contest Week 29: Make it Metal

Your goal this week is to illustrate something that is ordinarily not made of metal and make it all look like it's made of metal. You can illustrate an object, a person, plants, animals, elements, whatever you want, as long as it's not already made of metal. You can use any type of metal you like: aluminium, copper, gold, iron, lead, silver, titanium, uranium, and zinc. Please do not copy other artists work and have fun. :)

Additional Judging Criteria: You'll be judged higher on how creative you get and how realistic your metal looks.

Contest Week 29 will be open for entries from Sunday, September 10th to Saturday, September 16th, 11:59 PM PST.

JUDGING CRITERIA:
Creativity: The amount of imagination, originality and expressiveness that was put into the entry.
Technique & Effort: The amount of style, skill and craft that was put into the entry.
Following the Theme: How well the entry followed the theme of the contest.

Sweet. I'm gonna have fun with this one. this gives me a chance to play around with highlights and shadows and metalic coloring. :D !!

I am interested in this as well. I have a geometric style anyway so I feel Ill do good converting something to metal. a question.. can this thing be alive, or does it have to be an inanimet non metal object.??? or can it be something Like a person that is made of metel... but not a robot. originaly.

Kayos: Yeah, as said in the contest description, it can be a human, animal, plant, what have you. I'm not asking anyone to draw robots here, you're just taking something and drawing it as it were made of metal. As well, robots are made out of metal and you're supposed to draw things that aren't made out of metal, so that would be a poor choice.

cloxboy: what I was meaning to say was something like taking something like umm.... popeye, and make popeye a robot man that looks like popeye. Or somthing. I meant to say if I did something like that would it be more in the contests intrest to make popeye look like a metal statue(han solo for example)... or can it be something like a robotic look-alike like popeye?

Kayos: So if you're drawing Popeye, you draw him as if he were all made of metal, that's it, it has nothing to do with robots. I can see how you're making that association but you're not drawing robots.
