Showcase? I think this definately deserves one.
The lips, fingernails, everything is absolutely gorgeous and perfect in every way. One of the best pictures I've seen here in a while.

Hmm, I think I liked this a lot more at v.4 when everything besides the lips were loose, getting your eyes to look at the lips. (I mean, I guess it still has that effect, but doesn't seem quite as powerful as before)
Also the addition you made to the shading below the lips, kinda looks like facial hair due to the short stringy texture (mostly on the viewer's right, it hadn't really come to my attention in v.4)
As for some positive points in the finished piece, I really like the solid shades and the texture; just not sure the texture works right below the lips. The bright red is also very catchy against the neutral-ish colors....I might even say, yummy :P. Nice work, patience :).

gig, I was aware of the five o'clock shadow thing she's got going on when I was submited... I was stuck between not wanting to do the rest in the fuzzy jaggedy style because it takes for EVER and not wanting to smooth out what I already did because I liked it and I spent all that time already. It's a for-fun thing, I'm not too worried ;). Thanks for making the effort to crit, though, and stuff.
