Looks good , so far. I think the eyebrows need to be thinner and more arched in comparison with your ref.

It's looking good so far. Somethingh about the mouth gives it a different expression in the drawing then the picture.

That's an awesome photo by the way. Makes me want to draw it now ;)

I have a question. Being the know-it-all that I am, (I know little to nothing, actually, about much of nothing) I still do not know how to "save" a palette here. I just sort of muddle my way till I get back to the right shade. Is that what the color spots are at the right, and how do you get back to them?

if you right click on the canvas, it'll select that particular pixel's color.

if you look on that girl's gallery, she took several like it with the same lighting. i thought it was so amazing how she made the photo look like a painting. i didn't know that til a bit ago myself, deadly. it's helpful. trying a new style on this one. shall see how it turns out.
