You did a really nice job on the ducky Poppa, I love ducks. They're so sweet... 'cept when you're feedin a flock of them bread crumbs and run out... lol still cute though even then.
wonderful Dave. A critique if I may: If you are going for realism, I think your colors are a little on the bright and cartoonish side, and should be toned down slightly.
Yea I see that the reference looks very bright, but if you break the colors down into shapes, there really is that one very bright green splotch just under the eye...
I think what he(?) means to say is that they are a little muter...like, keep the same bright shade but tone the saturation down a bit. Not so "damn GREEN" but "definite green". I have never been to art school, so sue me if I don't know the words. :P

I wasnt specifically talking about only the green, but just in general about your use of color (saturation would be a good word), although I think the water also has that same look
of "blue out of the tube" (if you know what I mean). Moot point if you dont see what I mean, though.

I suppose I wasnt clear. To be clear: I think that if you are going for realism, your pallette in general should be toned down a bit. For example, with this painting,
I look at the reference and the painting side by side, and your painting seems much brighter than the photo (overall), and this is a trait I have noticed in your
other peices as well. Specifically in this peice, in the water under the duck I see very definative greys and browns. the water is generally blue, but throughout
it are grey undertones as well. I think that its a pitfall of painting with this medium. A certain opaqueness is hard to achieve with RGB.
Youre correct in that this could be a monitor display difference... I dont know. I hope my comments are helpful.

Wonderful draw and thanks for commenting under my work. As a newbie it is much appreciated! I agree with artiste in regards to the water. it is a bit blue. I think it depends on the effect you are going for though. For stark realism, tone it down a bit but for your own "version" then it looks great. I love color and oversaturate all my own work just for the fun of it. :)
