ooh! nifty!! very original style. I like it ^^ it has a striking likeness. I admire anyone who can draw a picture of a real person and make it look this good ^^ whenever i try to draw real people you usually cant tell who they are. heh heh *sweat drop*
Although, I'm sure kristine knows how to tackle realism having seen some of her works...
Doop, I think some of what needed fixing include: the nose needs to be shortened; being that his nose is way too long as you have it. The nostrils slant upwards at an angle too and the sides of the nose are more rounded opposed to straight. The mouth seems alright for the most part, besides the angle of it on his face and the fact that it is too close to the chin. There's more space between the chin and lower lip. The eye is not quite that rounded, so I would lower the height of the eye, and also add a tad more to its width. You'll also notice looking at the right side of his face, that in the ref, the face is generally straight up until you hit his jaw in which it kinda makes a sudden angled turn and creates a rather straight slope, as opposed to a rounded off jaw. Always keep a look out for the smallest of details in reproduction, and your results will probably be more to your liking :). Good luck with it all in the future.
Haha, wow. I'm surprised you actually did like everything I touched up on. But hey, the efforts payed off and you got a nice result here :). I hope you're happy with it as well...
