Aw come on. Sharpen up the details around the ear and put a bit of detail in the hair. This is so good. It deserves to be finished. What beautiful features on this child. If it were up to me this would go into the showcase. I think it's wonderful.

Boy, haven't I heard that before. :) Seriously, it takes alot to impress me, and I was quite impressed with this. I know there's that thing that happens towards the end, part of it is being tired of working (because realism is mostly just work work work), and then there's a fear that you will mess up what you already have. It's very good as it is, but if there's something that you aren't happy with, know that you have what it takes to jack it up to the next level and go for it.

edit again: now that it's back to the original size, I don't see anything at all that needs doing here. It's very, very impressive.

It's gorgeous, omg that velvet... is velvet, and such a stunning child. Funny though it looks like a boy from ancient Japan, a crown prince perhaps. If I could do this well I wouldn't grit my teeth everytime I paint.
