I'm a big fan of WOTW and I can easily say this is the best picture a martian I have ever seen =)

I absolutely love wotw too! I've drawn and redrawn the Martians over and over trying to make them look really cool and scary, while staying totally true to the book. As for reference, I used any and all the descriptions from the book. They can be interperated many ways, but this just keeps popping into my head... :)
I'm gonna do a WOTW series on 2Draw.. this is the 1st one..

I've got the PC game of WOTW, and the aliens in that look a lot like the picture You've drawn here, except thier heads are more like an octapus and they're a redish colour. But damn, that pic really kicks :D

I LOVE it! But why was it 18+? And which book (if any) is this from? I love H.G. Wells...and if I could draw, I'd draw a scene from my fave author, Charles de Lint, the book, "Someplace to be Flying" AWESOMEFULL BOOKIE!!!!

I just noticed this picture.. and I am floored! I am a big WOTW fan too..and THIS is truly inspired work! Amazing ..the colors..the details.. the creature itself..it's particulary scary looking because I am a big Woos when it comes to bees and wasps.. and this is the biggest baddest ass waspy lookin thing I ever saw!!
