Moonlight on canvas, midnight and wine
Two shadows starting to softly combine
The picture they're painting
Is one of the heart
And to those who have seen it
It's a true work of art

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong...Fearlessly drawn
Burning the night like the dawn

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this
Inspired by a vision
That they can't command
Erasing the borders
With each brush of a hand

Oh, the blues will be blue and the jealousies green
But when love picks its shade it demands to be seen

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong...Fearlessly drawn
Burning the night like the dawn

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this

Garth Brooks

What a great idea. You are the goddess of wet paint , especially red paint. I love this.
Pseudonymous (Feb 9, 2006)
This is gorgeous. I love the background and the concept and Garth. :) And yes, I agree with Dave - you are the 'goddess of wet paint'.
darkshadow (Feb 9, 2006)
when i saw the title for this i knew it was you
very nice shine in the brush
the background is great but what is that little spot just below the brush
really like the sun streeks too
DrsFan (Feb 9, 2006)
I cannot beleive only four people commented on this!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 9, 2006)
thanks... chris, I'm trying to figure out what spot you're talking about... is it that sort of faded ring around a dark spot in the water? I don't know if it's a monitor difference or something.. I had to search for it.
Axil62 (Feb 9, 2006)
It's directly under the bristles just below the horizon
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 9, 2006)
is it a dark spot or a light spot...how big is it? I honestly can't see it.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Feb 9, 2006)
okay, it's what I thought it was... I can barely see it, and I have no idea how that happened or why it isn't that visible to me, but at least now I know. thank you VERY much. :)
(I'll try to fix it later)
Axil62 (Feb 9, 2006)
I turned the gamma up so you could see it.

*bewilderment* I have no idea what you just did... but thanks again
It's a green highlight in the water, and on my monitor it pretty much looks like I intended it to, except there's this fuzzy place around it that I didn't notice. Anyway, It bothers me that other people see things differently than I do so I'll just make it dark or something.
Axil62 (Feb 9, 2006)
I'm not saying you do, but if you did have a monkey, I'd say don't throw monkey shit all over the room, to be sure.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 9, 2006)
I wanted to get a monkey so I could dress it up in a maid uniform and teach it to swing around and dust the cobwebs out of the corners on the ceiling, but if it's gonna get shit everywhere never mind, it would defeat the purpose and stuff.
Axil62 (Feb 9, 2006)
It's like the time my neighbor got drunk and used a belt buckle to test the swimming pool after his lips fell off
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 9, 2006)
Everyone should have a monkey for that sort of thing, see.
Axil62 (Feb 9, 2006)
or just to guard things

great metal......makes these lyrivs come to mind

Forget Pink and purple paisleys
little mellow-yellow daisies

Her favorite color is ..Chrome

as for the the part of the picture everyone is talking about, I found that if your monitor isnt set at 100% brightness, some of those things don't show up. I used to have mine down to about 50%, but bumped it up to 100% when I had a similar thing happen in one of my pieces.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 9, 2006)
monkeys with guns? now there's an idea...

yep, I know it... that song has a video with harleys and 18 wheelers in it :)... if I knew where the knob was I'd turn mine up to see, but I have to go to town to buy a monkey and some ammunition.
SYTHE (Feb 9, 2006)
I wondered where the brush idea would take you, very creative!

I didn't jack with my monitor so I don't know if that fixed it or not.

superb.
Rosemary (edited Feb 10, 2006)
i love this...great brush and really beautiful view :)
darkshadow (Feb 10, 2006)
yes you got it
monkeys with guns?
since you are an Archer teach the monkey to be one
that would be cool
Miss_DJ (Feb 11, 2006)
I never knew how much I loved red paint until today. I already knew I loved the sunset over the water. Exquisite!
