great job, it looks just like the poster. I've seen this texture on other paintings (I think its also used in the one above this "Elegant.")
What technique are you using in the program to achieve it? Is it a layer filter??
Thanks, ya'll... Artiste: in the lower left-hand corner of the lascaux applet there is a halftone setting... I used d: set at about 20 to achieve the texture here.
You should do a zoomed in veiw of the back of the butterfly, I don't know if you know but the design on the back is made up of people. I really thought that was a novel idea. -great pic-
DBA, thank you for this, I saw the memo and clickced and bang, there she be. I am just in awe, and so appreciate you fullfilling a request. I'll try to finish my Screaming pic soon. This is amazing. Too bad we can't vote, I'd give you 10 (out of 10 of course.)
I am flattered that you think so, and I'm glad you like it, but it really is lacking in most of the things I think make a piece worthy of the Showcase. I'm not going to tell you why, because I'd have to beat up my own picture (heh)... it'll be fine right here in my gallery. Just glad you like it. :)
