war isn't necessary, I guess unless you need to defend yourself. I dont know much about it, but 9/11 happened because not many countries seem to like the US at all. The US was probably provoking some countries to attack them, so one did. Everyone has a right to live, but people think otherwise and that causes war, just because of differences of opinon. Saying it's necessary is horrible. I think you're just being selfish if you say that.

If you look at Iraq right now, and the troops are sent home, the country is completely screwed. I don't support the war but we pretty much brought it on ourselves.

in my opinion, if we didnt support it, then we would have gotten blown the fuck up by now. i dont support millions dying, but damn, we cant just sit by and let them think its okay to saw people's heads off on camera and shoot people in the head and blow people up.

I totally conquer. Back then, like in the civil war and things before that, there were no sniper rifles and crap like that. Hand to hand and short ranged combat was how it was done. The honerable way. Not like sneaking up from behind and forcing them into submission like we do today.

I don't like war at all I rather die than to take someones life, but sometimes it's necessary to do things you don't like.

How is war unnecessary? Sometimes there is the need for force to take care of things that need to be taken care of. If a country is making illegal weapons that can wipeout many people, and they refuse to stop their actions, should we sit there and let them bomb whoever they want, whenever they want? I'm not exactly for war myself, but I think we should take care of anything that may be a big risk in the future. Seems like we're better off safe than sorry for having left the problem alone.

edit: stopping them from making illegal weapons is necessary, and if that leads to war I guess that has to be done. So if you say preventing illegal actions is necessary I agree, but saying war in general is necessary, I dont agree with. And sending in troops so quickly as an initial reaction to the attack on the US seemed to show a lack of compassion in my opinon.

Iraq should of been taking care of 10 years ago. This wasn't a quick reaction, this was a slow reaction.

it was a quick reaction to 9/11. I could argue lots of other stuff, but I dont feel like it. It's just I think a lot of people's initial reaction to 9/11 is that iraq needed to be attacked back, but I dont think anything good comes from war except tht one side gets their way and the other suffers.

I just feel you and most people are extremely misinformed about this war, why it took place, and that 9/11 wasn't the soul reason we went to war. 9/11 was just the straw that broke the camels back.
