I'd really like some comments that will keep me in the right direction of getting this image as close as possible to the reference. I feel I am about half way atm.

Hhahaha this guy makes me laugh. I don't know if this is a good suggestion but try to keep the lines real sharp and really define the eyes.
It looks like a good start to me a funny refrence picture.

I saw him on Ripley's! Whenever it's going tot he archive and it shows all of those clips, he's in there :D

WOW! it looks very close to the ref.... yeah sharper lines and round the jaw a little =) wow... HOMG! its on lascaux too ! this is so not fair! how does the lascaux work with you! you must have a tablet!

Have asked for more space to finish it, Yes I have a wacom tablet and I have just installed JTablet so hopefully that will help :)
Proportitions are a bit out on the jaw and forehead will try and sort those.

Oh this made me smile, and for that I thank you. As far as constructive criticism...the head looks a little squashed (forehead area).
I realize space is tight, but I think that perhaps the image going off the canvas might be better. Very nice in general though.
