Unless there was something else you wanted to do besides tone down the colors. Cause I think the colors are what make this eye candy. Especially that water...*hypnotized*

This is beautiful , laurael. I love it when you do stuff in this "tiny brush stroke" style of yours. The colors are fantastic, don't change it.

Beware of "yes-men." This is good, but it could be improved. Atmospheric perspective could help the water, and the trees feel a bit flat.

This is lovely :-) I love the water and the colors in it. I've tried drawing a body of water many times and I always fail. Teach me! lol oh HAY, how'd you get OekakiBBS to work for you? Stupid thing never lets me submit. :*(
