The nose looks like Liam Neeson.. but the hair looks like a woman's. So, I don't know who it is.. draw some more details on it and we'll guess again. :)

(His) right eye is to small and his lips to thin and the back of the hair needs to be alittle more thick in the back.... other than that this is looking good!!

After seeing the ref, the first thing I noticed was the eyes. The most important thing about reproducing a picture, and something I've heard from great artists here at the site... is to draw WHAT you see, as opposed to what you THINK you see.In other words, forget about everything you know about what a face looks like...look at the face as if it were an object. The eyes in the ref are almost completely blackened out with the exception of the highlights of the eyelids and very subtle color changes for the "whites" of his eyes that are barely visible (you can see it a lil better in his left eye, or the right side of the pic.) As it is now, it appears as if he's looking straight to the left of the canvas, but in the ref, he's focused on the bottom left corner.Fixing that will probably help to show the emotion a lil better.I hope that all made sense/helps you at all lol... good luck, its already lookin like him

When i first saw this, i instantly thought of edward scissorhands. The eyes and lips are what brought me the realisation that it was him. all you need is the hair and you're good to go! lol Nice sketch.

I agree with Cordeila, as soon as I scrolled down, I thought of that movie (of course that movie has been sitting on our shelf for a long time, almost since my Dad bought it for me). I used to be scared of the way he looked. But wow....just the look you captured in his eyes...its like a hidden pain, full of sorrow and longing. It looks like him. Sort of like a curious injury.

Number one...don't EVER refer to what you do as a failure! You are a SUPER artist! I knew this was a great sketch, regardless of who it was of. When I saw the ref and looked again, it was obvious it was Johnny. I like it a lot and find you've captured the sorrowful, haunting expression of feeling very well.

I knew it was JD as Edward Scissorhands the instant I saw it. You've got a real good start on the expression, especially the mouth.
