Great drawing, you shade really well! I wish I knew how to properly configure my computer's brightness and contrast settings. I have set both to 100% and I have set my video card's gamma settings to 1.95 otherwise everything seems too dark... <:)

Thanks for the link Mazi. I've wondered about that myself because images seem to vary so much when viewed on different systems. I adjusted my monitor according to the grey scale there and I nearly went blind. Everything was so light and bright. I looked at the pictures on here, and I think most people have their monitors set darker than the standards on that site. There are a lot of strange streaks on some images when you view them on the lighter settings. I tuned my monitor back to the darker settings. I like my rose colored glasses. ;)

Edit: Wow, Xod. I tried that. I can't even see to do that because the whole screen goes almost completely white around gamma 1.8. I can't see to move the slider any more.

Settings depend on what kind of graphics card and monitor you have. It is really hard to congifure all the settings in a pleasant way. (especially if you use monitors of different types, cameras, scanners, capture cards, separate 3D or video overlay settings) I wish I knew a website with visual tests so I can configure the monitor and the video card so I could follow some "standards".
My monitor contrast and brightness settings are set to 100% (max)
When I configure my video card's to gamma 1, I can only discern the man's head, hand and tool, his blouse just fainlty and a small part of his trousers. The rest of the picture seems completely black.
When I configure gamma to 1.94, I can discern all of the details completely, but the column looks dark.
When I configure gamma to 3.97 and above, most of the shading details fade away, but I can discern an additional 4 colour pattern on the previously plack pillar. Did you intentionally paint this Miss mazi?

Miss Gigge, my gamma settings go from 0.50 to 6.00.
