Awww, so cute! Great job Dave. :D I love the lime green couch. Lovely detail on the kitty's fur, too. (By the way, you've got sofa color leaking into the kitty; you might wana fix it.)
Thanks..making me blind.. Connie..I'm outta space..:0( I'll probably see what you're seeing after I rest my eyes.. but where, specifically, do you see the leakage...(all looks the same to me at this point because I've been staring at it..)..
Its mostly on his arm and paw, and a bit under his mouth. Anyway, this is really good! Since the last animal you drew, your fur has improved A LOT! It looks sooo much softer. :-) I'm not a huge fan of cats... but this one is so cute! Excellent job!
Edit: Oops, I posted this before I saw the new revision. It's perfect now. :-D
oh wow, that's rather good.
the face is a bit odd as it appears more human than feline, the nose probably shouldn't fall down so far from the eyes. also, as I've mentioned before, more contrast, in this case, darker darks. the reference appears to have been taken with a flash which tends to take out shadows, but you can still add more darks to add depth.
Thanks Marcello..yea. the photo looks like a flash was used. I actually had the dark parts darker, but I did the overkill with the fur over it. The face is a bit flatter and that's why it looks funny,I just looked at the reference calendar again, the nose is the same length, but its too narrow in mine. I have a tad more space left thanks to miss connie, maybe I'll go back in and fool with it some more when my eyes decide they want to work again.
I sat in a cat's chair the other day(didn't realize it was the cat's favorite spot) and got the back of my coat all covered in cat hair. Cats' hair is always fallin out on the furniture.. chalk it up to that.
Eh....sorry I got back to this so late, I just remembered that I was distracted by AIM right as I finished your memo and didn't come back to it^^;.Actually, you did pretty good with the overall picture. If you want me to be really picky, I could point out that you may wanna avoid having the darker shaded hairs in the back from being all consistent in being one black and one gray colors and add some in-between colors too to get a softer look. You could also define the structures too by adding darker shadows in the fur such as around the ears(even just a bit darker).I think you did especially well on it's right paw though :).
This is really great Poppa. The lil kitty's crawling right out of the picture :) You did a wonderful job makin the fluffy fur too.... I'll help ya down kitty.. awww c'mere...
