pulmonq2 (Feb 9, 2005)
I dunno about the temple...looks thin, or something, but the golden flowers are very nice. So this is what you were working on.
Kenshin (Feb 9, 2005)
So pretty :D I luff your work. I personally like the clouds... and the flowers, which I always love :D
Cordelia_Pink (edited Feb 9, 2005)
Let's just say this was back in the early 1900's, when it was still being constructed--starting from the top. lol but thanks for the comments.
Cacau (Feb 9, 2005)
It's so pretty! I love it. The temple is so well-done and the flowers are so... delicate XD Great work!
nozomii (Feb 9, 2005)
Well this is very... golden. Good job on the flowers.
safescene (Feb 9, 2005)
Freaking gooood
spiritdweller (edited Feb 9, 2005)
I don't think there's one pic of yours that I haven't liked... you've got the greatest ideas <3 and you draw them so well and beautifully... they're so dream-like..
Anna (edited Feb 9, 2005)
How great!! I absolutely love this. Wohoo!
emmamommalag (Feb 9, 2005)
That's beautiful, Christy. I love the colors.
davincipoppalag (Feb 9, 2005)
This is wonderful! I agree with Lori.. I always like your pictures, but this one is above and beyond...
clockworkkubrick (Feb 10, 2005)
What frightens me about this picture is that it's what I used to imagine what it would look like as a kid.
somebody (Feb 10, 2005)
This is beautiful. It has a majestic feel.
spiritdweller (Feb 10, 2005)
shooooowwwwcaaaaasssssseeee.... this has great meaning and beauty.. it's way worthy...
Gigandas (Feb 10, 2005)
Do you know how inspiring it is to see your stuff? It's so creative and very interesting to view. And the thing is, you execute it well too. What a combination :)....
sincity (edited Feb 10, 2005)
this is a very well done pic. absolutely fantastic! great feel. :}> congrats on the showcaser!
Cordelia_Pink (Feb 10, 2005)
The building isn't finshed, really... if it wasn't hidden by the clouds. lol I gave up on it due to my frustration and loss of patience. lol I got the picture from a cover of this book (about 10 X 5 cm). Supposed to look like a pendant. lol Oh but thanks anyhow, guys.
TheCrimsonKing (Feb 10, 2005)
wow, love the flowers and the cathedral top is awesome.
pulmonq2 (Feb 10, 2005)
That's not a cathedral.
staci (Feb 10, 2005)
quit being such an argumentative asshole pulmonQ2.
pulmonq2 (edited Feb 10, 2005)
Where did that come from? /:)
nozomii (edited Feb 11, 2005)
Icats, what was that? That really isn't a cathedral, its a temple. Stop attacking people for no reason. What's wrong with you?
staci (Feb 11, 2005)
i just said what most people are thinking. thats all :) i have no further questions, your honor.
spiritdweller (Feb 11, 2005)
well I'll say what I'm thinking too.... quit acting so holier than thou Staci.... sorry Christy... these comments don't belong on such a beautiful pic.... or.... do they?.........
pulmonq2 (Feb 11, 2005)
Like a certain moderator said... you're undermining your own position when you act the way you are...Staci.
nozomii (Feb 11, 2005)
Most people being who Icats, you? Cause like you see, you were the only taking that comment the wrong way. There wasnt even anything to take wrong. Stop acting like a b****

Christy: I'm sorry for all of this. But i can't stay quiet. I'm sure you understand.
emmamommalag (Feb 11, 2005)
It looks like a cathedral to me... a very beautiful one. And why are you all picking on Staci?
pulmonq2 (edited Feb 11, 2005)
Cathedrals don't have a big golden angel with a trumpet on top. Also, did you read up the thread before asking that question?
spiritdweller (Feb 11, 2005)
I just said something that I've wanted to say for a long time... seemed like an appropriate moment... she knows I think she's the shit... but feelings get hurt around here once in a while... it's inevitable, I guess...
Zack (Feb 11, 2005)
For the record, I took pulmonq's comment the same way Staci did, and thought he had it coming. There's no reason to correct someone on such a little detail unless you're smarting off, or so I thought.

As for Staci undermining her position, pulmonq, this is a different situation. She was asked to explain herself. When I offered you my advice I did not ask you to explain or defend your actions. Nor is Icats here being accused of being argumentative.

Perhaps we could all use a good dose of civility.
nozomii (edited Feb 11, 2005)
That's just crap. He knows it isnt a cathedral, i know it isnt a cathedral, and trust me, christy knows it isnt a cathedral. He said that so no one would have a wrong idea of what it is. I can't see how is that being argumentative. I guess some people can't forget things that happened the past and have to bring their poison into totally different conversations . It's just sad.
pulmonq2 (Feb 11, 2005)
There is a reason if I happen to have a special interest in the subject matter, Zack. I said it wasn't a cathedral. Chill out.

And I wasn't refering to her second comment, though that was a presumptuous statement, and she probably was trying to get a rise out of me. >.> And Icats isn't being argumentative, sure. She's being snotty and uptight, that's all.

And Christy, I'm sorry about this.
spiritdweller (Feb 11, 2005)
we are all one and the same, meaning not perfect...yes, civility goes a long way... and so does just keeping to yourself sometimes.. peace.
Zack (Feb 11, 2005)
Rest assured, I am quite chill. You may wish to ask nozomii to follow suit, though. Calling someone names for calling someone else names is hardly dignified.

It would seem, then, that the crux of this misunderstanding is the severity of the difference between temple and cathedral. Yes? You mean temple, then, not in the generic sense, but as in a synagogue? If that's the case, my apologies. I was under the impression that you were referring to minor architectural differences.
marcello (Feb 11, 2005)
the guy said cathedral top, he didn't even say it was a cathedral. omg. *gives crimson a medal for being so badass*
davincipoppalag (edited Feb 11, 2005)
In spite of all this..whether it's a cathedral, a temple, or a f***ing motor home.. its a nice picture. Let's let it go crikey
nozomii (Feb 11, 2005)
Want me to swallow it and leave, zack? Is that it? Cause i cant. not when my boyfriend is being called an asshole for saying its not a cathedral. I'm tired of being the good girl. Stop messing with both him and me and i'll assure you i'll leave this alone. I won't stand watching with my arms crossed when he's being attacked for a stupid thing, and watch you applaud it.
pulmonq2 (Feb 11, 2005)
No, not a synagogue either. Far from it. :)
davincipoppalag (Feb 11, 2005)
Zack (Feb 11, 2005)
Hehe, now I'm curious, pulmonq. What is it then?

nozomii: I didn't say you couldn't defend him. Far from it, as in this case I seem to have been mistaken. But it would be nice if you contributed more than just insults and ill feelings to the argument.
pulmonq2 (edited Feb 11, 2005)
It ... is..... *dramatic pause* a temple located in SLC, also known as "The House of the Lord", built from 1853 to 1892, taking 40 years to complete. Only worthy members of the church may enter here --it is not for the profane, or the gentile as they are usually called, because certain sacred ordinanace are dispensed, including the giving of certain signs and tokens which act as keys giving access to exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom. It is one of more than 100 currently in operation today around the world.

Was that good enough?
nozomii (Feb 11, 2005)
I'm glad to see you realize you are mistaken. And i'm just fed up of seeing him being attacked in pretty much each comment he makes. Call it "ill feelings" or whatever you want. We've put up with alot so far. Tired of it.
davincipoppalag (Feb 11, 2005)
Tag team, eh?
Zack (edited Feb 11, 2005)
According to The American Heritage Dictionary, the second definition of cathedral is "a large, important church." You make this sound like it's important, and it's a church, right? So... are you sure it's not a cathedral? :P

What religion is practiced there?
Gigge (Feb 11, 2005)
The moderation at the junior high school of 2draw is so bad. Why ruin Cordelia's Picture with all of this stuff? Did she have it coming?
Zack (Feb 11, 2005)
Personally, I don't think this ruins the picture. The rudeness is overwhelmingly ironic, yes. But you don't have to read the comments. If it is bothering Cordelia, I will gladly remove all my comments from this picture.
Cordelia_Pink (Feb 11, 2005)
Whoa, I just logged in for a minute (well, technically like 2 hours ago lol) and then there's 48 comments here. Personally, I don't really care what people are saying as long as they're not insulting me. lol I don't really want to make a big deal about this so let's just all let it go. pulmonq2 just wanted to make a point over something so I think "someone" else took it the wrong way and so on. Some strange domino effect just happened here. lol I should have specified this temple. Yes, it's a temple.

The Salt Lake City Temple in Utah. Ok, ok, so thanks for all the comments. Let's all rest in peace.
nozomii (edited Feb 11, 2005)
Yea Christy, sorry for that. If you want i can delete my comments, but i wont take a word back of what i said.
Kenshin (Feb 11, 2005)
-runs to momma- WAAAAAAAH! -sobsob- MOOOMMA! POPPA CURSED!! -sob-
pulmonq2 (edited Feb 12, 2005)
It's important to me Zack yes, since 2 years ago and counting. It's a temple, not a church. Anyone may attend a church. Only a select few get access to a temple. Am I sure it's not a cathedral. hmm... I take it that was a joke :P
Anyway, I guess I can reveal the religion sure. It's the primary temple belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Ta-daa! If you would like more information, you are welcome to visit or . Thank you.

And actually, whether it's a temple or w/e is a trite point. I don't care about that. What this was really about is Staci, not the drawing.

Calling someone names for calling someone else names is hardly dignified

It just occured to me that this statement is incorrect. Vera didn't say she was one, she said she was acting "like" one. Unlike Staci who told me I was "being" one. Vera didn't call her a name directly, but made a comparison. See that?
Anna (Feb 12, 2005)
Staci was correct. :-) You had it coming.
pulmonq2 (edited Feb 12, 2005)
Oh look who decided to open her mouth again. And I had such high hopes that when she said she was done with us, she meant it. *sigh* Well, so much for wishful thinking.
nozomii (Feb 12, 2005)
Now that was deserved. Very nicely put. :)
marcello (Feb 12, 2005)
You're just feeding the fire by patting each other on the back, you know that, right?
nozomii (edited Feb 12, 2005)
Ok, yea, you are right. I'll just shush now.

Christy, again... Well deserved showcase.
pulmonq2 (Feb 13, 2005)
Yes, I agree--especially compared to some of the other pieces that make it.
zep (Feb 13, 2005)
i still don´t know why i like your pics (can´t find the reason in the comments either), but i like it a lot. solids, maybe is the concept.

sorry cordelia in advanced, but i really wanna to say, that this kind of threads delighten me so much...i love human being and work in communication, so.....
pulmonq2 (Feb 13, 2005)
*has no idea what zep just said* O.o
zep (Feb 14, 2005)
isn´t it wonderful...hehe
gottin_regen (Feb 14, 2005)
ahhh... so that's where all the gods are... seems like a nice place, but looking at the size of it, i think it'll be overcrowded in no time... ahwells.
Cordelia_Pink (Feb 16, 2005)
Thanks, people.

gotten regen: technically it's on this earth but there's really a place like this (it's just a miniature size temple lol). I guess the round part behind it created the illusion that it is that small but it's not. Just think of that as a shield to ward off some unclean substances. lol
voodoobunny (Jun 2, 2005)
I wish I could live there *.*
Xodiak (Jun 2, 2005)
Very nice drawing. I like how it looks golden and beautiful. The mist around it is also great. Gorgeous cathedr... err, I meant to say, temple! <:)
