The advent of stylus and tablets and so forth has been like, so totally cool and some junk. But does anyone still mouse?

I know I do. It has it's pro's and con's.

I still use it.Cause I'm better off with it than using a tablet which takes some getting used to...^^;

i still use my mouse...or a school mouse. i'd like a tablet, but it seems like everyone else has one so it's not as exciting as it used to be

I don't have a steady hand with anything but a pencil. The lead calls to me...

I first used a mouse, like i'm sure Most of us did, But It took awhile to get used to. I then Started using a tablet, which took awhile to get used to, but I have a hold of it now, and I love it. Tablet, no mouse! ^^'

yes I mouse, and prefer it somehow to looking at a screen but using a stylus like I'm writing?? no no no, that confuses my brain...

I use teh mouse. I use to want a tablet, but now I don't need it as much as I use to. >=] Prolly would be useful to making flash animations though.

I use a ball mouse, stupid ball mouse... *punchs, kicks, burns, frezze, and cooks the mouse* Mouselicious XD I think I don't want a tablet that much... My pics are getting better...

I really wouldn't say using a mouse has it's cons. Though you have to train your hand to keep it steady enough to draw, nearly half my best works here were done in mouse before I had my tablet. :}

Both. *glares at the smooth lines in other people's stuff* I still can't figure out how to do that though. I use the mouse to just control the picture size, since i'm left handed ^^;;

I use a combination of mouse and tablet. If I want smooth lines, I'll use a mouse... But most of the time I use a tablet. Though there are a few times when I will be at school and totally bored, so I'll draw with school mouse. Mouse and tablet both have their good's and bad's.

I've always used a mouse apart from the one picture recently. The carpal tunnel it was giving my wrist though was excruciatinggggg at times. One definite drawback from it. Thanks to a certain wonderful Poppa though the wrist can rest easy :-D

What I don't understand is when people say that when they want smooth lines they use a mouse!! I get rough lines when I use one, That's why I have my tablet... To help me smooth out the lines.. Am I just weird? Or am I misunderstanding something?

I've gotten to where the only thing I ever use is my tablet, whether I'm drawing or not. There are some minor cases where a mouse would be better since I sometimes can't hold the pen perfectly still for clicking on a tiny spot and nothing else (like if I'm dragging an object within a program and the act of lifting my pen from the tablet moves the object just slightly), but I find it's easier to be a bit off here and there than to have to keep switching between mouse and pen.

why are people saying they use a mouse for smooth lines o_o;?
i use a tablet most of the time, but i've used a mouse here like a few times. im not good with mouses, but my mouse is definetely easier to use than my mom's crappy mouse.
