Swaustika's are supposed to be tilted 45 degrees to the left or right (doesn't matter)
Sarge (Dec 4, 2004)
Oh, wow, it tottaly slipped my mind to tilt them while I was drawing. Im a bit new to drawing on the net, and wanted to keep it simple. Thank you so much for pointing that out though. I will keep it in mind next time.

Swaustika's are supposed to be tilted 45 degrees to the left or right (doesn't matter)

if it doesn't matter why make the comment???
Sarge (Dec 14, 2004)
Why thank you. But he is right. Oh well.
Gigandas (Dec 14, 2004)
Actually kejoco, just cause it doesn't matter to the person who said it, doesn't mean that the artist thinks it doesn't matter either.Dagan could have mentioned it for the artist's sake.I'm just saying.
kejoco (Dec 14, 2004)
actually, if it had been a comment made as a suggestion that would be fine...
but that comment is obviously contradicting itself .
the comment is also wrong in that it doesn't say "in this context, the swastika is supposed to be..."
the swastika itself is symbol that has been used by many cultures, for the most part as a good luck symbol.
It can very well be represented tilted as it was by the nazi's or as sarge has depicted it here.
seeing how sarge's drawing is of a fictional tomato character, he can freely represent the swastika any way he chooses too...making his depiction of the swastika correct....
thank you
that is all
bite me!
Gigandas (Dec 14, 2004)
Correct?I don't think there is any definite line of "corrrectness" in art.Even if it were a nonfictional character, you could still choose to draw it this way. It'd add a kind of weird unusual feel to it.And to you, who knows, it may or may not.As for making the comment, he can say it if he wants. You don't have to analyze a single comment that far down especially if he's not demoralizing someone or something in trying to be harsh. So what my point here is that it's not a "fact" that the comment shouldn't have been made, but only an opinion. And opinions don't need justification.
kejoco (edited Dec 14, 2004)
The "fact" that it was my "opinion" that the comment shouldn't have been made "justifies" me making my comment
Please take note of the "fact" that my heavy use of "quotations" indicates that I am being very "serious"and "knowledgable" "on" "this" "subject"
and you argued the same point i was making about it being correct
