Read. The. Rules.
I have had to delete far more pictures than I like to think about, and if new users would read the rules and take them into consideration, then the moderators would not have to patrol the boards so strictly. In addition to reading the rules, I suggest new users observe the boards before jumping in and drawing. Roam the boards for an hour or so, and get a feel for what's good, what's intermediate, what's beginner, so that there are given examples and not just the outlines that the rules lay out. Also, try looking through the forums for advice and drawing tips; there are a lot of tutorial links there that can do a world of good. And if you were to politely memo one of the moderators, or a site veteran, with any question, it is likely that you would get an equally polite answer. Thank you. |

You know I wonder, if the average age of the users here on 2draw is around 13 years of age, is it possible that many users cannot comprehend the rules (and their implications) even if they [tried to] read them?

Amen and Hallelujah, and can I get a WITNESS, sister Visceral? lol... and probably not, Method :).

My God People....is this all you do is bitch and complain about other people...especially new users. As a new user and reading this...this doesn't make new people feel welcomed. Alot of you are adults...why not act your age and not your shoe size for God's Sake. I guess you people don't have a life since all you do is sit here and draw every waking moment of the day....GET A LIFE PEOPLE. There is more than just the internet.

kejoco (Oct 20, 2004)
Hmmm...shawna, not sure if you will be welcomed with open arms after that comment
and if you actually took the time to find out, you would notice that most of the people who have posted on this thread so far are not of legal age and therefore not considered adults. vv initial comment was basically stating some facts about how this site works and also gives some tips for new users to follow. I think you should perhaps take some of your own advice and act like an adult. "GET A LIFE PEOPLE" is not a very mature comment. thank you that is all |

Xodiak (Oct 20, 2004)
Are we ready for a hug now? <:)

I will hug you, Xod. As a matter of fact, why don't we all just get in a huddle and have a huge group hug and all end up in a really uncomfortable "dog pile". lol
|

Xodiak (Oct 20, 2004)

Gigandas (Oct 20, 2004)
Sorry Xod, I can't hug ya either.Besides, we already had a deal with giving you my drawings remember?
|
||||
Xodiak (Oct 20, 2004)
I remember in elementary school (the very first grades) that when two kid friends had a fight and wanted to "end" their friendship, they did a gesture like "scissors" and that would supposedly mean that they are no friends anymore. And when they wanted to become friends again, they made a gesture joining some of their fingers.
Well, if you do not want to hug me I will do that scissors gesture and then go to DeadlyBlondeArcher and cry. >:( |XOD| |
||||
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Oct 20, 2004)
Aww, it's okay, Xod... *pats Xod on head and glares at Gigandas* Now look what you did, you made him cry!
|
||||
Gigandas (Oct 20, 2004)
Hey, we had a deal^^;....that should have satisfied him enough.
|

LOL. Yall make me laugh. And Shawna, I am a new user too, but I don't go around judging people, like Method, XOD, gigandas, Kejoco, Or DBA just because of something they said. Just try and watch what yall say and we will be one big happy family! HUGS ALL AROUND!

New users should read teh rules...its BASIC! If somebody wants to be in a community he/she must read the rules to have a basic knowledge about the site.
1. If you think that if we say you to read rules is not a good welcome is because you live in an anarchy 2. Some sarcastic sentencees you did put here...we dotn want them, you can have them inside you, maybe a bonsai will grow in your spirit 3. WE rox, all the community rocks (specially Marcello ^^) and they respect the rules 4. You will have a good welcome when you post some draw 5.Um....i like number five In addition to reading the rules, I suggest new users observe the boards before jumping in and drawing. Roam the boards for an hour or so, and get a feel for what's good, what's intermediate, what's beginner, so that there are given examples and not just the outlines that the rules lay out. Hahaha....I remember that I needed like 2 months for register, I was frightened about the level here, when i dd saw 2draw's showcase the first day.....whoa! well, so I think its a good idea to browse boards and see in what one your drawings fit more :) |

Personally,I consider the artists here a very friendly and helpful group! I was welcomed,and got advice
when I asked.(and sometimes when I didn't ask) I am very appreciative of all the help,and I hope to become a better artist because of it.I have had some of my drawings deleted,but that was my fault,no one else's! |
