This is a repetitive question amongst the forums but... How would YOU (as individulas) go about making smoother lineart? I can't seem to get it right...

your recent is pretty close to smooth lineart. but youve spent under a half hour on lines (id guess close to 20 min since theres coloring too?). personally i start just with scribbles so i get everything perfect before putting so much work into lines. just blue scribbles on one layer. refine the scribbles into almost-lineart but it doesnt have to be perfect. just some idea where you want the lines. and then i use the 2px pen on full opacity to make thicker lines. working in a kinda.. back and fourth sketching motion. sketch it in, but then use the eraser to go back over it and smooth the lines. (and possibly some more pen to fill things in). it takes a lot of practice to get it right. dont expect to wake up and draw perfectly. i know im still far from the lines i want. but im getting close.

id say my best advice would be to look at animations of drawings with good lines (like armandos, furyofroys, hakkais, etc). not copying. but learning techniques. i do believe furyofroy does a more of an erasing technique (putting lines in thicker and erasing to where he wants) and 'kai does more of a sketchy thing. both really awesome lines. and mando summons lines out of 1337ness. and thats about it.

p.s. make sure you take note of the time spent on lines on images with the smoother ones.
