Ohh man...where did this guy come from again........dang, can't remember^^;;;;.Well, just wanted to point out that it was turning out nicely and I can't wait for its completion :).Awesome work so far.
spiritdweller (Aug 29, 2004)
ty ;) he's from the Neverhood ;) what originally got me hooked to sitting at the pc for hours...
Gigandas (Aug 29, 2004)
Hmm, the name doesn't sound very familiar but I knew I've seen the character somewhere before :).Hey, this reminds me, you should draw the ClayFighter charas since you seem to be doing real well with this one!If you can, a T-Hoppy would be great ;).
spiritdweller (Aug 29, 2004)
whoever they are... -shrugs and looks stupid-
laurael (Aug 29, 2004)
Wow! This 'does' look like clay...very, very nicely done and it's not even finished yet. You gotta tell me how you do that so I can make some clay turtles...memo me if ya want....
Gigandas (Aug 29, 2004)
lol, it's a game for the N64 Lori :).Maybe I'll find a couple chara pics sometime to show you.
spiritdweller (Aug 29, 2004)
I'm just lookin' at the pic, drawin' everything I see, using airbrush and blend here and there... that's about all I can tell ya ;)
laurael (Aug 29, 2004)
Okay...cool. I can do 'that'...I hope...lol.
spiritdweller (Aug 29, 2004)
'course ya can ;)
Gigandas (edited Aug 29, 2004)
That's pretty much how it is with realism too Lori :).Nothing different.

-Oh and I meant to say, so if you can do this, realism shouldn't be a problem^^.
laurael (edited Aug 29, 2004)
Well, gigandas...I haven't gotten into using the blend tool much...heh...not at all, really. But I will try it 'now'...

Edit: You weren't telling 'me' that...'were' you?
Gigandas (Aug 29, 2004)
I don't use blend but that would sure make it easier. And yeah, you should give it a shot :).I'm sure you can do an awesome pic if you looked for all the details in the ref. pic.
laurael (edited Aug 29, 2004)
It's not so much the details...it's the 'time' spent and most of the time, I use all the kb's up so I panic and don't go the mile.

Edit: Marcello explained it before, and if I 'do' use a lot of 'lines'...that's when I go over...
Gigandas (Aug 29, 2004)
Hmm....I wonder what it is that I do to keep my space in the first place^^;.Cause i remember the Barrett pic took at least a days worth of time (24 hours) and I was still doing okay^^;;;.....if I knew what it was, I'd tell you so you wouldn't have that problem :(....
spiritdweller (Aug 29, 2004)

yeah Gig, if I try hard enough, I really can do realism, but I have a problem with sticking with a pic for so long... but did ya see my friend's pup that I did? :)

Whoa, I was hoping you'd do more tonight :).Keep going, I wanna see it done and it's looking better and better as you go!Btw, is there gonna be a bg for this guy too :)???

And no, I didn't see your pup pic but....I will go do that now ;).

don't think I can do the whole bg without running outta space... so here... done deal.
Gigandas (Aug 30, 2004)
Are you sure you can't do the bg?I mean you still got a good 300kb and the pics I've seen of this guy in this pose were in front of this green mountain with a mail box next to him (I think...) :).Well, at least it's still cool here how it looks like he's running from something in the dark and the way you made him look like real clay ;).You're really good with these clay figures though (like have told you previously) Lori, should really do more....
spiritdweller (Aug 30, 2004)
I know I have a good amount of space, but for some reason, the way I go about my pics, space gets sucked up so fast... though there's just green clay land and a few building things around him in the pic I'm looking at, it's very detailed as far as the blending and different shading and light strokes I'd have to do... I know space would be gone in no time... I'll have to shoot for advanced sometime, and REALLY try hard... glad you like Gig ;)
davincipoppalag (Aug 30, 2004)
This is a really good job! It really looks like clay!

Gigandas (Aug 31, 2004)
