yeah...the beach. I get to go in 2 weeks, can't wait. I like this one, what a nostalgic feel. I like how the propellers on the flying plane were caught still, but blurred to show movement.
Many thanks to all those men and women. Great stuff Cindy. Now I wanna do a P-40 or a B-17. I have a turret gunners cap from a B-17. My friend Steve knew the gunner and hung out at his house lot when he was a kid, listened to his stories and the guy gave him his jacket and cap from the war. Steve said he wore em in high school till they were too small. I traded him a German WWII helmet for the cap. Steve is my VW guru friend, owns a shop. Only guy I know that was at Woodstock, whole nuther story.
I was supposed to go to Woodstock, but I got called to work at the last minute.. who knew. My dad in law was a navigator on B24s . He had interesting stories to tell.. I made him a very detailed model of a B24J once for Christmas before he passed on. I love warbirds..and I go to see them every time the Confederate Air Force brings them to town.. I rode their B17 once.. and also their B24...
Hehe, I remember trying to draw these planes when I was still around 10^^;.The key word being "trying."This is really cool cause you can look at individual areas and find these small details you've worked out such as on the body itself, you can make out the lines of a single plate of metal.I think my favorite is the plane with the angry eye ;).Nice one.
What? Is it vintage warplane week and nobody told me?
Very nice! I looks like a pencil sketch of a black and white photo, with just a touch of color added to the sky for nice effect! All the elements in this one tie together so nicely.
