I don't really pay much attention to which board it is.. I just browse "latest boards" and/or "latest comments" and look at the pics. Couldn't care less which particular board the pics are on.

This is the only time I'm posting, since I don't want to be drawn into these things:

Yes, people post stuff on the intermediate board that belongs on beginner. Yes, it's annoying. The other mods and I move them/delete them whenever we notice something that's a problem. But all the pictures of yours I can see on your user board are on beginner, and you've had a picture moved from intermediate to beginner yourself. So... not to be high and mighty, but I don't think you ought to be worrying too much about the quality of other people's work on a board you don't really draw on, and you especially don't need to be starting an entire forum thread for the purpose of having people agree with you.

As to your 'ugh' and comment about the advanced board, it was recently reviewed in an attempt to keep it somewhat standardized, so unless you have a better idea or start turning out advanced work yourself, there's no reason for you to be complaining about it. It just makes you sound stuck-up and hypocritical.

I'm probably crazy to start posting on this kind of thread, considering where they tend to lead. Proceed to behead me or whatever.

Sorry, I was just stating my opinion. Yeah, I know that my picture got bumped, and I'm glad. It was ugly, and I started it a while ago. I have no idea why I even started it out on the intermediate board. It had too much background space. The lines were sketchy. The shading stunk. At the time I thought it was good, and now I don't. I was just posting those contest things so people could know that they had a chance to win. I'm sorry if I upset anyone... I was just seeing if anyone else felt this way.

imho. if the picture its pretty close to intermediate i'll leave it there. i mean its debatable. and its crushing to some people when you move their pics. theres a happy medium that keeps most people happy. as much as we like to pretend were a nazi dictatorship (well maybe thats just me) the mods are meant to keep peace and general organization to the site, not have eliteist wars against those who arent amazing professional artists. though if you have a problem with a specific picture, take it out with me. in memo form.

Yes. There have been. Which is why I (and others) have been spending time daily helping to move/delete them. This thread has absolutely no purpose unless you're suggesting something to do about it.

how can the elite bastards board be a beginners board? you have to have special access to be able to post things. and everything i've ever seen on that board is exquisite and I'm always in awe of the people who put them up. As for the intermediate/beginner's board, I think as long as someone is trying their hardest and is putting a lot of time on their work, it is welcome to go on the intermediate. I think people can judge for themselves what's beginners work and what's intermediate. Who are you to say that something is a beginning piece of work

It's more of the intermediate room turning into beginner, and anything that's not up to standards in advanced is always deleted or bumped. Lately, I haven't seen very many things that shouldn't belong in intermediate. ^^

It's not random if it's for a reason, which in this case would be the appearance of being random.

I looked at the last 160 drawings on Intermediate, I found 11 drawings that are in my opinion of a "beginner" quality. All in all, I think the Intermediate Board is mostly intermediate work and I think this whole discussion smells like an old man's burrito droppings.

Anybody else, besides Sayoko-chan, go to anime conventions?

hmm, i kinda thought the idea was to keep trying to improve. i take tips from others, and study their pieces as for examples. and i learn. i started on the beginners board, and when people thought it was good enough they'd say so, and i'd move up. which i did. but it was for striving to get better, to make the next board. i have only one on the advanced board, sooner or later i will have lots. i think as long as you are doing the best you can do, your own selves will tell you where to post. i just honestly ask myself if my picture is as good as the advanced artists. and i know the answer is not now. by education, talent and hard work, that is why they are there. i'll take a different road, but i'll end up in the same place....we all can...one thing's for sure. we all have to start from the beginning....lol

I've always said, a good picture is a good picture. It doesn't matter what board it's posted on.

How about a "better than beginner, not quite intermediate" board? >:)

I don't understand all this hullabaloo about boards. The way the rules read, you post on the board according to your experience with the tools, not on your talent. I couldn't care less what board anybody's pics are on.. I don't even look to see what board they're on.. I just look at the pics, themselves. Some are good, some not so good, some fantastic, some crap.. I enjoy looking at them all, regardless.

oh wow, i can see how it is turning beginner ^_^;; i only draw on intermediate once and a while but otherwise... most of it is intermediate level.. don't you think? but i can see were all talking about paste now...?
