Judging from this pic, I think you should work more on your lineart first. PaintBBS is outdated... using Lascaux or Oekeki-Shi might also help.

As many people have already stated, this picture IS incredibly smooth ^ ^. The background goes along great with the objective, although I agree with Zack: lineart -even if it's okay now- can be improved, and this will immensely help the overall work. The shading is also good but can gain improvement: it is a little too simple. I'm not too good a this skill either, but you should at least smooth the shades so that it isn't so apparent. Aw... the creature's adorable! =^_^= You could've added more volume to the color of its gem, but I love its colors! Purple fits it so well... You should shade the green in the eyes, but besides that... I'm done. You're really good!

P.S.: This picture could go to the intermediate board, but I suggest you polish your oekaki up first. After all, a little editing can only do good! ... We hope.
