It reminds me of the animated Brandon Boyd picture in that one Incubus video... Ag... I forget what the song was called but anyways, consider it a compliment! =D
Man....not you too Kasha^^;.This is amazing. The anatomy looks pretty good to me even though I haven't studied it much.Nice job in putting him in that pose, must've took some effort to do that.
Looks GOOD, Kasha! (The best stuff is always left to the imagination, anyway, ya know? :) (And that's okay, Gigandas, you can leave the study of the male anatomy to Kasha and I, we don't mind... Oh, forgot, I need to go study... lol) later!
love this drawing...
only criticism i might have would be that his forearms look really long. if its meant to be stylized and look like that cool but it just looks a little off to me. if i'm wrong someone tell me to shut the hell up. i already feel like an ass criticising art done by someone i admire
Mmmm! What a fkn sexy stomach! This is very well done.
The only critique I could give, since this is a study, is perhaps his upper arms are too short, as opposed to his forearms being too long...and also maybe his shoulders are too broad? But what am I to say, I cannot draw males to save mine un-life. lol.
There are a few things I really got to fix. I'm just so used to drawing extremely thin guys that could've been in a manga.. So these studies are going to have that feminine quality to it. That's basically why I'm doing a male study, it's hard to get a manly man.I need a perfect male study, any volunteers? heheh XD
Um, yeah and I'm doing female studies and I need a a good female volunteer for that. Anyone interested?
Kasha: If your looking for Joe Six Pack, I'm not about to volunteer. I've still got my small high school physique but I'm finally starting to put on some muscle this summer, 2 pounds so far, albeit it's all biceps and triceps muscle but in time I hope to have all muscle groups up to speed.
You might hit up XOD though, he's a model, he might hook you up with a nice male reference shot, maybe. Worth a try, if anything, he might tell you where you can find good references online. I've said it once, I'll say it again, porn is a great recourse for anatomical studies and figure drawing in general.
I was thinking maybe porn sites have good models but I got kinda scared about having my family come in and thinking I was some kind of weirdo. Im trying to find a simple model without any sexual gestures. So natually, porn is out of the question. Arrrgh, I have a feeling this is gonna take me ages.
I used these books to better my antomy skills as well better myself as an artist:
The Human Machine by George Briggman - a good book to learn the mechanics of anatomy
Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth - great book and Hogarth is one of the best
50 Secrets of Magic Craftmanship by Salvador Dali - aside from sounding kinda insane at times, it's a great book
Gray's Anatomy - this book is best for learning terms
Anatomy for the Artist by Jeno Barcsay - this has great drawings in it and another good term book
There are a few others I own but those I listed helped me most.
Of course, don't take my word for it. <some of you are old enough to get that joke, I hope, that line is right up there with "...and knowing is half the battle"
Kasha... you are a fucking lamer... :P This rox0rz.
The really soft lines and then the really dark ones really make it work.
Is there a reference or is that from your head? It better not be from your head. :B
I wish I had the style you have. *sigh* *stalks kasha*
