Yeah, I kinda did. Looking at the photograph kind of wrenched my heart... they looked so brave and scared and full of adrenaline all at the same time... was weird looking at it for so long. And the guy on the far left actually had a huge bandage on his thumb. :( I left it off because it just looked goofy.
Nice green sky there^^.The detail of the dirt being kicked up and thrown around just pulls your eyes down to look at it XD.Looks like you'd be pretty tired after drawing this one^^;....I know I would be.But the effort was worth it.This turned out just great :).
woah, wait a minute here, 1943 was at WWII but for some reason they are wearing WWI helmets... eh, this hurts my head
but its a good picture dont get me wrong its awesome, i wanna draw something like this
I went back and did some reading on the reference photograph, and it was taken in 1943, and this is what it says:
Troops Attack a Trench
Members of the 31st division of the United States army charge into a trench wielding bayonets during manoeuvres at Camp Blanding in north Florida. (so that solves the mystery of the helmets: very observant boys, you are :)
This is really excellent Cindy. The perspective is great and everything that everyone else mentioned that makes it that way :) It's action standing still.. just great.
