where is beauty in our hearts.. our minds? dose it lie with lust or innocence~ or tread from place to place like bastard needing food?

LovelyLori (Mar 30, 2004)

RavioloiTheDancingClown (Mar 30, 2004)
sure! how do you draw a humming bird underlit with a sense of motion?
LovelyLori (Mar 30, 2004)
hmm... I'll have to try that, and let you know!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 30, 2004)
This is very nice, and fluid. Gonna enjoy watching you finish it. I have a hummingbird in my gallery, but it isn't moving at all. It looks like someone pulled it out of the freezer and pasted it on. :)
RavioloiTheDancingClown (Mar 31, 2004)
i wonder 'what humming birds taste like?

java crashed so i couldent spend more time on it... and now im out of space....

i need to balance out the contrast on the facial features and add texture later.... iNEED LOTSA space
its 1MB already....
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 31, 2004)
It says 717.5kb... you should still have space (and if you have any layers that you can merge before you submit it'll reduce it where you might can edit another time, 2)
RavioloiTheDancingClown (Mar 31, 2004)
lol.. i always work on one layer anways... where do you see the size displayed.... it said 1mb for me..
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 31, 2004)
Up there next to your picture under Details., Total Size, between JPEG Size and Applet. The space you have used is the first number/total space available. :) I like to work on one layer, too, mostly. Just like really painting, only you don't have to wait for it to dry! (Only the layers come in handy sometimes, do you know how to use them?)
RavioloiTheDancingClown (Mar 31, 2004)
sort of...
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 31, 2004)
well, I think I finally got the complete hang of them so if you need help holler at me (we could memo back and forth) I hated not knowing how to use them
davincipoppalag (Mar 31, 2004)
Layers come in handy for trying changes that you aren't sure about.. you can put them in and see how it looks, and if you decide the changes suck..just delete that layer... this is coming along nicely...

blegh... this is a disaster..... the right eye is so fucked up!

please post crits.. i need to know how i can improve
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 2, 2004)
Do you mean her right eye? Her left eye is just a little too much smaller than her right. The sketchy stuff is cool, but maybe it should all be sort of in tune? Like the hard black against the soft brush strokes, I don't know if it works or not. (My daughter wanted to know if that was pit hair coming out from under her arms (LOL)!! (sorrry, i just thought that was funny) I love your style, the free look of it, and the only thing I really see that I would do differently is to just harmonize the brush strokes a little more, keep it the same feeling all over.
RavioloiTheDancingClown (Apr 2, 2004)
thanks for the crits.. i still need more! i need uber honest truth!
god lovs ya DBA thx
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 2, 2004)
I really hate to be critical at all, but it's really the only way to get better, it sort of stings when someone does it, but I love them later when I'm able to improve (lots of stuff I didn't/still don't notice about my own work). The pit hair thing was just a funny teenage remark (had to put that in there) but I still love your style. I wish I could be that free-handed.
RavioloiTheDancingClown (Apr 3, 2004)
hehe....it dose look like pit-hair and dont underestimate the power of teenager-isim -I- am a teenage myself
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 4, 2004)
LOL! I didn't realize that! :D Well, I always listen to them. At least my daughter helps me figure out what to wear! (Wouldn't wanna go around looking like a middle-aged loser or anything. HAH!) :)
RavioloiTheDancingClown (Apr 4, 2004)
:o)
Doodlibop (Apr 6, 2004)
Ooooh Myyyyy!!!!!

This is a lovely painting! It looks like those ink and oil paintings that you pay alot for to hang them up on your wall in your bedroom...or something...

Welp, all I know is that this is MASTERFULLY executed.

Wowzers.
