try and memo Knockoff , could help you better than me. I thought mabey the small square, triangle, circle might mean your running low on virtual memory.

Or you could ask Marcello.

I only mentioned Knockoff because he has helped me, whereas marcello always gives me smarta*s or insulting answers. (That is based on personal experience and may not reflect the viewpoints of other users.)

Usually Marcello is a smartass when you yourself do not appear to have provided enough information in a clear manner. It is usually impossible for anyone to actually help you when you can't understand what exactly the problem is. Well, first off, the minimum amount of information needed for any problems on 2draw is: What web browser and version number, what applet you are using and what Java version you are running. Then proceed to give a clear account of the problem hopefully in grammatically correct English. Try to be as verbose as possible, there's usually no such thing as too much information.

As for your particular problem, the first thing to do would probably make sure you have an updated version of Java JRE (I think that link should work).

Just to make sure it's clear to the less technically minded among us, there is a Java Runtime Environment (Java Engine, or JRE) for both Windows and Mac machines -- but you need to make sure that you're downloading and installing the right file for your computer. :) The site will do its best to help you, but if it can't, and you need to do a manual download, it may help to know which file you need to get. :)

I only mention this because this was the first time I'd used that particular method of updating my Java Engine, and I noticed that the only link on the page that said "Java JRE" was the one for the Macintosh -- and I had visions of some poor person who doesn't work with this kind of tool on a regular basis, trying to download and install the wrong file, and getting panicked and frustrated when it didn't work.

(Now you know why my own software and web designs tend to be described as "user obsequious"... ...I believe in making as sure as possible that the user doesn't have to be a technical guru in order to use them.) After all, a lot of people in this world are not software specialists, and technical things can confuse and scare some otherwise very bright people, including some very good artists.
