ok..... every time I try to finish this... it locks up or I cant get the tools to work such as, I'll draw a line.. and the line doesn't appear for a few seconds. It's really pissin me off so unless someone can tell me how to correct this, I wouldn't mind if it got deleted. I don't know if it would have something to do with the memory (it's up to 173kb)?
haha.... thx laureal, dixie, and dav ... I just need to find a big block of time to finish it. Anyone have a suggestion as to what flag to diplay on the bldg in the middle??
Well... got some more acomplished..... definatley getting some practice working with pixels, as far as the signs go. The flag is my idea of a 2draw.net flag. :-)
I wish I'd seen this sooner! I *really* liked the lighting effect on the buildings in the first version, it had a wonderfully moody night-time cityscape effect, and I hope you'll do more work of that style. *smile* The current version has an entirely different set of strengths, and I like it -- but I liked the first version better, and I wish you'd continued to develop it as the evening scene it appeared to be in that version. Will you be doing more like that? *hopeful look*
Two suggestions - first of all, I'd consider making the flag with parallel curved lines, rather than dead straight, so it looks like it's waving. *smile* I've seen flags sticking straight out like that (in real life), but they're on wires, and I've always thought they looked horrible.
Second, I'd have a look at the proportion between the trees and the dashed lines in the road. As it is now, it looks (to me) like either those lines are broad enough to be a lane in and of themselves, or else those are the smalles trees I've ever seen.
Or maybe they're bushes that have been pruned to look like trees, like "standard" roses. In any case, you may want to think about how to make them clearly look more like whatever you had in mind -- or you may not, and this may have been what you were aiming at, I don't know. :)
Thanks always learning!! the original version somehow got lost and I had to start over :(
And.. LOL I know the trees are really out of proportion... I thought I would wait untill the pic is done, and then re-do the trees... thought about making them Dogwoods. And yes, the flag does look kinda fake, I will change that also.
Thanks again for the morale booster!! ;)
every time I try to get something accomplished on this... something comes up! I guess thats what having kids is about.... but I wouldnt trade it for the world!!! I guess after midnight is a good time to work on this.
