I'm not done with my lineart yet so... I'll color it later. I hope someone is interested? I inked a picture of starfire this 4th of july and recently scanned it. I posted it on deviant art here and I was wondering if any of you knew any good tips on American comic book inking or any good links to artists with good coloring styles for American comic shading. Also tell what you think of the overall inking I made, flaws, good parts, etc.

from a photo I took of the sofa in the front room a couple of days ago. I liked the light, I have a thing for light.

mmm, idk...i think its more the detail of the rug, the shadow of the plant, some light source reflecting over the couch, the way he gave the couch such a comfy plush feeling with a few brush strokes...how if you look every line, every stroke, seems almost careless because his eye for light and form is so phenomenal, he doesnt need to second guess or overwork it. i don't think many people can appreciate how amazing this picture is.

I do see what you mean..I was just cutting up....the couch does look velvety soft...and i especailly like the vent cover there.....it does belong in showcase..

It's time to decide the next contest theme. Everyone can make one suggestion per contest and everyone gets to make one vote. You can suggest any theme you want, including themes that have already been used or suggested. We're going to try a new system of voting for what contest idea gets picked next. Everyone can make one suggestion per contest week, which usually runs for a about 2 weeks before the next contest, and everyone gets to make one vote. Ideas for contests will be posted in this thread, and when enough ideas have been made then we'll start a new round of voting to get ready for the next contest.
