Are there any "blending" option in Photoshop like in Lascaux or Chibi? I'm pretty new to Photoshop, so I'm blind to most of the features...

Oh I thought I left a comment on this, bette! This is a fab draw! Hot lips!!!!!!! Excellent job on the teeth as well! Are these anyone's lips in particular?? When I picture the whole face and what this person with the hot lips is doing that we can't see, by the way the lower lip is sort of falling open makes me think this person was sleeping when her lip photo was taken...LOL Great work!
Suntan (May 24, 2009)
I've looked at this so often, I thought I already commented, too! Awesome work, bette. Really good. :)

Lovely muted color and the subject makes this look like an aged, classical painting! :)

subject makes this look like an aged, classical painting!

This painting is of a woman in a mosaic revealed on Israel. The women in the mosaic looks down, and parts of her were destroyed during the years. I tried to paint her the way she must have looked like.
elly (May 22, 2009)
Yes this is absolutely beautifully done! The monochromatic color really gives it that classic painting look! Very nice!!!!!!!
Suntan (May 22, 2009)
ahh, very interesting. thanks for letting me know that, shults..you succeeded with your goal. :)

Tell me if there is something I need to work on to make this advanced quality, but don't just say 'this sucks' or anything like that. If you don't like something tell me and I'll fix it.

that brige is wonderful and the girl really looks scary ^-^
firecracker (edited May 21, 2009)
Maybe you could make the background real "misty" looking.....like the girl is walking thru "fog", or something like that. It would give the "pic" a mysterious look. I really love that bridge though. I think if you darken the sky a little bit, and add some misty looking "fog".....the glow from the moon would show up better.....and it would really "set" this pic off.
xiau (edited May 21, 2009)
I think a darker color scheme would suit it well, and maybe use more washed out colors for the girl to give her a ghostly feel (transparency would help achieve this effect, too.) The coloring is also out of the lines in a few places, and the shading could stand a bit of a clean up.

But don't be discouraged! This is a great effort, and I'd love to see how it could be improved on :)
enjoydotcom (May 22, 2009)
I do love the bridge and riverbank. Also the stuffed bear is sweet. I do think however her left, our right cheek is a tad lopsided. And everything but the bottom of the bridge and a little white spot in the river is neatly colored within the lines.
Other than that good effort.

You people obviously don't see the deep meaning behind this.
adxaidl3692 (May 20, 2009)
Looks like a young girl waiting for pop tarts to come out of a toaster. What do ya think?
Bubblicious (May 20, 2009)
"What do you mean, you people?" Lol movie quote. Uh, yeah. As far as I can tell, the deep meaning behind this picture is that someone decided to shit on the advanced board for a test they could have done on beginners.

This picture is an accurate representation of how I feel about this picture.

Come on, you guys, at least try to abide by the rules :(
backmagicwoman (May 21, 2009)
I'm pretty sure that the rules are broken on purpose for attention...
enjoydotcom (May 22, 2009)
Drawings like this are an insult to the pretty drawings that do belong on advanced, but are at risk from not being seen.

Oh man, I've missed your art, Ricci! This is beautifully drawn, of course. I love the carefree, sweet mood of this. :)

This is so lovely! I really adore the sun shining through the dress and the dangling shoes. This picture has a lot of life to it.

Tane Tane Claus, maybe? Definitely creepy either way --- and it works so well in this style. The way the eye is drawn is great, and I really love the hair!

A picture I took this morning

I liked it so I thought I'd see how you felt about it. The morning light was coming through a space between the curtains and hitting the closet door knob just so.

Haha, its okay

I'm glad you're pushing yourself to try new things! This really looks a lot better with a background than without one; it makes the foreground stand out a lot more, too, because of the dark colors.
artistforrent (May 28, 2009)
I love this soft style of coloring! <3

Thank you for commenting, it's great to meet new people.
