Face-Off

A question for the more skilled oekaki-ers:
- How can I make my colors smoother and my objects less two-dimensional?
Some help would be greatly appreciated.

to smooth out colors, try erasing the edges of your blocks of colors w/the eraser on a pretty low opacity, then blurring it. for more 3-dimensionality, you have to develop your skill with light and shadow; namely the use of 'core shadows', which are very important in creating that 3d look. i don't think i can explain it adequately, so look it up. i'm sure there are lots of drawing sites that can explain it pretty well. anyways, this is looking really good so far! i especially like the lion. ^___^

I'm not terribly sure what these two broke into conflict about, but I hear it had something to do with one of them calling the other mean names, like 'Sir I'm-Too-Good-To-Make-My-Own-Damn-Body-Heat.'

Its pretty. See if you can give it more definition and sharpness. The colors are very nice and the water actually looks more like the water in Bermuda, it really IS that color there. Very nice

This is remids me of a beautiful little beach (Kapu) in Kau on the big island. Its a four mile hike over lava rock, but its worth it.

Nice job, you two. I love the highlights on the dragon's skin. The background is nice, but it could stand a little more definition, and the guy seems awfully dark, which is alright, but I think he could stand to have some more highlights. Plus you've got your life source confused; some of the light seems to be coming from the dragon's eye and the background, but the shadows on the guy make it seem like the light is also coming from the opposite direction.

....just some suggestions. ~___~

hey, i really like this! i ADORE the dots of rainbow color, her hair, tie, and suspenders (oh, and the ruffleys on he thigh-highs ^___^). the backgroung is nice to me too! cool yo!

your pictures have a sort of art-deco look to them.. flowing forms in silhouette.. I had to stare at this one a bit to make out the lady..the light arm threw me off.. I thought the arm was the dark part from the flower to the head maybe some of that brown white stuff you put on the front of her dress to point out the real arm... I like this..

this is very pretty and graphic-designy looking! i like it! the only thing i would say is if you're gonna blur the whole pic, make sure that you get all the little spots. it looks just a tad bit odd. its no big deal, though. nice job! ^____^
