Oooo. I love the way you've mixed the desaturated tones of the hat and her skin with the supersaturated colours of her lips, her kimono and the background. The hat is *ahem* well, dammit, amazing. Love the tension in the chin strap/skin and the way you've just managed to hide her eyes from the viewer...so we're always trying to peer up under the edge of the hat. Critiques? Hmmm. That gorgeous bouncelight underneath her chin makes me wish there was a tiny bit of shine on the skin of her cheek. But's that nitpicking. I love this.

It's insane how much subtle texture is in the skin here. I can't begin to imagine how to do this with lascaux sketch, and it'd still be incredible regardless of the medium.

Oh she is furious and just beautiful. Passion is certainly felt when looking at this. Wonderful art, I keep trying to read what is around her though. It is interesting, but I can't make it out.

this is very beautiful. The lighting, the style, the technique are reminiscent of Vermeer or one of the Renaissance artists. Exquisitly done!I am not sure I get it either Dave, but I know I am way better at copying or having a model or something to look at than I am making the entire pic up in my own brain.

This is Dante' right? I did a full body picture of him on another Oekaki site, 5 hours painting, painting. Then the program decided to shit on it and I lost it. *sigh*He's beautiful Un. Wonderfully done.

I still think I did a great job on this too considering most things on this drawing, I picked up while I was working on it. I had no idea about hair. Clothing. and only a little bit of experience with digital art in whole, when I first started this. :"D I'm satisfied with the results none-the-less. mmm, idk...i think its more the detail of the rug, the shadow of the plant, some light source reflecting over the couch, the way he gave the couch such a comfy plush feeling with a few brush strokes...how if you look every line, every stroke, seems almost careless because his eye for light and form is so phenomenal, he doesnt need to second guess or overwork it. i don't think many people can appreciate how amazing this picture is.
