I think that it's there to represent that a barbarian who is berserk doesn't care if they're hurt until their arm/leg is actually hacked completely off or they're dead. The first cut wounds the limb, the second mutilates it, and the third cuts it off. Atleast, thats how I always though it was.

Beautiful lineart and coloring. I've only seen the first movie.I wonder stasiuk, I may be asking for too much but would you consider painting a picture I've done.
