Axil62 (Oct 19, 2004)
Simple bold strokes with a little blur tool thrown in for good measure. It's not all perfect and detailed, that's how I wanted to do it. Something fun, easy no sweat or effort. It was refreshing.

Hi DBA, how's it going? Looks like your still busy painting and all. I'll take a cup of your coffee.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Oct 19, 2004)
You sure you can handle John Wayne coffee?... talk about flyin'... this'll send ya. :)
xwindflyer (Oct 22, 2004)
Laughing at DBA, I can handle anything that allows me to fly.

I see you've been listening to Neil Young again. He will always be one of my all time favorites...and believe it or not, so will you.

This one was from a photo a dead friend took. Course, he wasn't dead then.

Bump, not that i think it does look wrong but what if he does have a small head and feet?
not everyone is perfectly proportioned.
i say this because you always seem to pick on the proportions of peoples drawings.
symmetry helps in making people beautiful but its the imperfections that make them remembered
Xodiak (Oct 13, 2004)
Xod thinks the size and proportions look great. I also think that they chose the wrong person to play the "Terminator" >:)
I like how the pants deform under the pressure of the hand in the pocket! >:D

I've never seen the picture, but that's very cool and great how you drew it. I'm sorry the person who took the original isn't around anymore. Well, I'm sure they're still around, you just can't see them now. Nice picture Dan.

This will be an experiment. I want to attempt to do a demonstration from an oil painting book.
Joseph Sheppard titles the book “How to paint like the old masters” The demonstration I’m going to attempt is lesson two. I will be posting the numbered instructions from the book and then what I had to do differently to adjust for Lascaux. I will sumbit each step seperately. Wish me luck, if I get sick of it I’ll either delete it or paint a big smiley face over the whole damn thing. Please forgive me if this gets too wordy Marcello.

No memo needed Zack, what I said here still stands just as CLEAR as it did yesterday.

Strange that emmamommalaq's reply only refered to the cats.
DejasView (Oct 16, 2004)
emmamommalaq said: "Excuse me, Mrs. DeadlyBlondeArcher.. did I say there was anything crude or vulgar about that pic? I was just stating facts.. the breast added nothing to that picture. In fact, it looked inane." The fact is, this is only a fact according to you, emma. It is only your opinion. Just because you think the tit didn't add anything to the pic doesn't make it a fact.

memories.... memories...
Xodiak (Dec 5, 2004)
I like the statues they build in graveyards. They often build some really nice ones. It is mostly the dead young people and the children who get the most beautiful statues on their tombstones. I once saw a strange looking angel holding a piece of broken glass. I have also heard that some thieves often steal these statues. I heard of a story of a little girl who was not older than 4 or 5 years old when she died and her parents hired a very skillful sculptor to create an extremely accurate and lifesize statue of their little girl with angel wings. And decades after her death, graverobbers stole the entire statue and the parents felt very sad. <:(

This is so dramatic it left me in awe. I love how she drapes herself over the pedestal as if she is weeping and lost. You dig deep inside of yourself when you draw and you should continue to do that.

Took a digital of my eye so I could watch the same eye that was looking at the eye that as being drawn. I'm really tired...did that make any sense at all?

This is a picture of a good girl. It has lines and colors and you can look at them. I will draw more colors and lines and shapes later and then you can look at them too.
