enjoydot is correct, it is a mixture of those things; and to different people it means different things.I have no blood family, really, and the "family" i had years ago,was destroyed because one of the main members died.Unfortunately it just reminds me of all the people who are gone and dead. its common to get depressed in later life,I found out, and that's one of the main reasons; everyone dies. yeah, Xmas reminds me of all that.

I like this lady.

Hugs for you dotty.

I always get grumpy around Mother's Day. Now that is getting pushed down your throat as well each year more it seems. "Here, a great reminder that your lovely mother isn't around anymore. And we're going to shove that fact in your face with each commercial you see.".

Yeah you're right;l miss my MOM too. Thanks for the hug. :)

Webchemy - A new tool
Dr.Moony (Dec 22, 2012)
Hey everybody, I have been working on a new web-app for a while now. Today I released it: webchemy You draw in the browser, but the crazy thing: works like a charm on iPad and iPhones. (Android not quite so perfectly) A bit of additional info: It's based on the desktop application Alchemy. So kudos to those guys. :) Also, Webchemy is open source. Let me know what you think! Happy Holidays

"Where does your responsibility begin here? Wiping away the nebula from your sight, you struggle to find where you really are. You're trying to find the direction of the flow, struggling to hold on to the axis of time. But you can't locate the borderline separating dream and reality. Or even the boundary between what's real and what's possible. All you're sure of is that you're in a delicate position. Delicate - and dangerous. You're pulled along, a part of it, unable to pin down the principles of prophecy, or of logic. Like when a river overflows, washing over a town, all road signs have sunk beneath the waves. And all you can see are the anonymous roofs of the sunken houses."

I absolutely love this. It seems like you have knowledge (with no better way to describe it) of the exact amount of detail your piece needs to keep the observer (aka me) interested, the exact amount of gentlenss/sharpness contrast to make it easy on the eyes while again interesting, the exact amount of imagination to reach my own, stir it a little, and leave me clueless and yet satisfied.

or in other words, you're ok.. ;)
davincipoppalag (Dec 20, 2012)
another fine piece of work Hiro

damn great evolution
Teapot (Dec 17, 2012)
Your use of colour slays me. Yellow green apricot robin's egg blue skin...but it works when contrasted with the brick reds, somehow. If I tried that it would look like dog sick.

Beautiful, downcast eyes.

i dont post this draw to saw you how good drawer i am, i post my believes in this draw,if you like it..........good,if you dont like it i dont care.this is some of my thoughts in a draw.and like lynx3jumper saids........usualy art is for the artist.thanks lynx3jumper.
panah (Dec 10, 2012)
I don't want to jump into anything here, but this art doesn't trash other people's beliefs. satyr isn't trying to force their views on other people or explicitly insult people who believe. They're just expressing their opinion-whatever that may be-on a public website.
shults (edited Dec 10, 2012)
I was extremely annoyed by the sentence "the purpose to all these" with the dollar sign.. It suggests that all believers are stupid for not knowing they're used. I find it offensive, but I guess satyr is entitled to express his opinion, just like I'm entitled to express mine.

Edit- Nice of you to make an account just to make a statement Panah.
Wraith (Mar 16, 2013)
Also, Shults is right about something. He said for satyr to spend a little more time on his drawings instead of putting out lots of 12 min drawings. That IS helping the apprentice. After all, if Shults did not care, he simply would not have said anything.
