Circle Seven

"When the exasperated soul abandonsThe body whence it rent itself away, Minos consigns it to the seventh abyss. It falls into the forest, and no part Is chosen for it; but where Fortune hurls it, There like a grain of spelt it germinates. It springs a sapling, and a forest tree; The Harpies, feeding then upon its leaves, Do pain create, and for the pain an outlet. Like others for our spoils shall we return; But not that any one may them revest, For 'tis not just to have what one casts off. Here we shall drag them, and along the dismal Forest our bodies shall suspended be, Each to the thorn of his molested shade." - Dante's "Inferno", Canto XIII.

Sounds cool, love the touch of the trailing vine.

Another quick little piece. |

So basically I used cucumber-melon shaving cream on my armpits and then proceeded to go around telling everyone that my armpits were cucumber-melony fresh. And then I wonder why people think I'm on crack. This was a quick one, I was in that sort of mood, haha.
shalalaheartattack (Aug 28, 2006)
Haha. When I was in kindergarten they gave me shaving cream to clean my desk. It's the only thing I remember from kindergarten. I used to draw pictures in it. It WAS fun.*hugs* For being a substitute teacher. I filled in as a teacher's helper once, for a group of first graders. That was hellacious. One little boy had the attention span of a flea, and ate chalk. We decided that he either had a calcium deficiency, or Pica.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Aug 28, 2006)
ha... I did it for years, I loved it. Sometimes I think about doing it again, just for the fun of it. I got in trouble for teaching a class to make paper airplanes... I got sent to the principle's office everytime I substituted... it was almost as bad as when I was in school myself. :)
KuteDymples (Aug 29, 2006)
Have you ever eaten cucumber and melons together? I haven't. I don't think it would taste good. This picture sure did conjur up some interesting comments. Cute picture by the way. When I was a crack head, my armpits still smelled good! :-)
shalalaheartattack (Aug 29, 2006)
I tend to think that I prefer my cucumbers and melons eaten separately, as well. Thanks. :D |

Just a quick one, as I have places to go and people to see. XDDisclaimer: I don't own Plankton. The good people at Nickelodeon and the creators of Spongebob Squarepants and whoever actually owns the rights to Spongebob Squarepants do. So don't sue me plzkthnx.
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Aug 22, 2006)
This is awesome...and I AM GOING TO SUE YOU! jk I hate SpongeBob but Plankton is so cute!
shalalaheartattack (Aug 22, 2006)
Haha, thanks. The irony is that I don't really care for Spongebob either. But Plankton is just amazing. *whips out anti-lawer spray* |

I'll finish this later, it started out as a completely different pic, but it wasn't coming out the way I wanted it, so I cleared the whole thing and started scribbling about, and it turned into her. And that was a horrible run-on sentence. I'll call her Ania. |

Drawn from a reference picture of myself that I took for kicks. The hair isn't mine, but I wish my hair was long again. Just went back and cleaned it up a tiny bit. Hardly different from the original.

I like the bracelets. Neat angle, too.
shalalaheartattack (Aug 21, 2006)
Ah, thanks so much. I actually was wearing more bracelets in the original photo, but I decided I didn't want to exert the effort into drawing them all, haha. *curtsies* Merci. Btw, I like your lineart.
resident-bishounen (Aug 21, 2006)
Thanks. It looks like a lot of bracelets the way it is; I can understand not wanting to add more. ^^; |

Second oekaki. Fireflies fascinate me. And I wanted to draw a cloud. |

This just so happens to be my first try at oekaki. The "lower lid" (or rather where it should be) of the eye is a bit messy. I would curse my lack of tablet, but I think this turned out well for a first try, so I'll just leave it at that. Constructive feedback would be awesome. |
