I love the simplicity of this picture. It is very cute and the scribbling gives the picture extra character. Good Job!

Least Favorite Form
Linwe_lover_1990 (Aug 14, 2005)
Hey everyone I was wondering what your least favorite form of art is, if its as broad as hating to use your hands for anything, or as narrow as absolutly despising country music. Tell me what you don't like! -Levi

Useless Wows
SneakyWalter (edited Sep 28, 2005)
There are a bit too much (to me, anyway) of comments that say "wow" and "awesome" and the occasional "glomps". While my point is NOT the "rules about comments" (DON'T try to argue with me) the praise is meaningless now. any picture thats any good or if its anime gets all these comments all the time. now praise seems to mean practically nothing. What's your opinion?

Try it anyone?
christiangirl (Sep 30, 2005)
I want to see if anyone would like to draw some Naruto. It is quickly becoming one of my favourite anime shows to watch and I like the way the characters are drawn. I am currently collecting drawings on my computer so I can draw them in real life. I am much better, lately I drew Yoh Asakura from Shaman King and it turned out quite well. When I upload the pic, I'll show you guys. It is in no way as good or close to as good as the original drawing which can be found on deviant art, but somehow can...

Week 2: Chemistry
DinoFlorist (edited Sep 10, 2005)
Wow! I was overwhelmed and impressed with all the great submissions. Only one entry can win (and its pretty subjective), but they all were very good and I was impressed with almost all of them. Hopefully everyone who entered had fun creating their creatures, and thank you so much for entering. Every week there will be a new contest to enter, so if one doesnt pique your interest, maybe the next one will. Week 2: Chemistry You knew that you weren't supposed to go there, but Julie a...

looks like the conservative leader to me.. http://election.scotsman.com/img/howard.jpg
Mal (Sep 7, 2005)
Indeed it is Michael Howard current leader of the conservative party , according to Anne Widdecombe (MP) he has "Something of the night about him," & the fact that his family are from Transylvania.is a coincidence ? i think not! http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2005/WORLD/europe/03/25/uk.tories.resign/long.mhoward.afp.jpg

Was fun trying to draw him, learnt a bit about skin tones ( they are damn tricky in my opinion)

Do you believe in the Apocalypse?
friend (Sep 5, 2005)
Global warming, Glaciers melt and sea levels rise, hole in the Ozone layer, Asteroids wipping out the planet, another galaxy crashing into ours, Extra Terrestrials invading, plague, nuclear warfare, Overpopulation, or the Devil. Do you believe any of those theories could cause the earth to be destroyed?

He gets animals to come close to the water so the alligator can eat them.
He is a meat eater and He lives off scraps that the alligator leaves behind.
He has big sharp teeth and he is very fast.

The soft blurry colours you do are excellent, along with the subtle scratchy lines.
starmarked (Sep 2, 2005)
Nice Derrick, I like the soft feel of the picture. I also like you description of the Water Walker. Neat idea :]

Abstract Art
Gigandas (edited Aug 7, 2005)
First of all, I'd like to state that in no way, am I intentionally dissing abstract art here if it even sounds like I am. Anyway, I just thought I'd share this with you guys, but yesterday on 20/20, they were showing these abstract paintings being sold for millions of dollars done by these so-called pros. But it got interesting when the host had these random 4 year old girls paint on a canvas and then set their work up next to the 'pro' abstract artists' pieces and see if these educated art...

Contest Week 1: A Walk to Remember
DinoFlorist (edited Sep 3, 2005)
While spending a cool, fall day bicycling on the paths in the forest, you come across a clearing in the woods that is recessed down into a ravine. You lean your touring bike on a tree by the side of the road becasue the path down would be better handled by foot. When you reach the bottom, you find that this place is enchanted; it appears to contain new breeds of creature! You realize that this land has given you the power of creator- as you think it, it becomes! This power is so much fun...
