Self-Explanatory. Enough said. lol My eyes really aren't that big and I don't have elvish ears but I always thought it would be kinda neat. =)The first one I did looked SO bland and puke greenish in color... I thought I'd stick with the usual color and make it more humanoid... =) And I still like adding leaves to it...

different flavors. I can't really pick one over the other. *shrug* Skin tone is clearer but I prefered the hue of the eye in the first version. Also, that "scratchy" look is bothering me in the black areas (over the shirt and in that region it looks good).

lol spirit. It is a little rough sweetie, but it's not bad for a beginner. My favorite part is the big star on the right. It really shines. Like I say, Vera, I think you have a pretty good grasp of color, if you could just get bold and not worry so much about the outcome, I think you could make some nice colorist works. Try being more impressionistic if you want: worry less about exact and perfect forms and just make gestures with color. Also, try working less with the pattern tools.

Oh I think it looks fine. Although maybe you should add a bit of shine on the heart but other than that it looks pretty good. And I'm not saying that to be polite or anything but it does look illustrative. lol The stars are really nice, they're shining, (especially the one on the right) and you did really make some nice light and dark areas. I like the texture too. But keep up the good work. Just put more emphasis on the heart since that's what's more focussed. |

I have a whole archive of old original video game music...sonic, mario, megaman, starfox, etc... but what I usually listen to while drawing is metal...something like Rhapsody or After Forever or Lost Horizon or any of the other 350+ cds I own... oops this was spose to be about your pic... uhh, nice drawing!! I'm gonna go ahead and declare this one finished, as I'm losing interest and my mind is starting to go blaaaaaughh... lol. I know it's still really rough, but I can only stick with a drawing for so long ya know? Plus I have homework to do. Anyway, This is a portrait of my sweetie, Vera. This is my first time on 2draw.net and so this was somewhat of a test, just messing around, seeing how the applet works. It has been a long time since I've tried coloring, and I don't consider coloring my strength particularly (I'm a pencil dude). I read the tutorial on skin tone and that really is what got me pointed the right way. I've never attempted this type of thing before. Huh. Anyway, hope you all like it. Suggestions are fine but I'm usually a hard enough critic of my work as it is. Improvements pending when I'm more awake.
