Hello. We've been hard at work on JTablet, and happy to release the first JTablet 2 alpha! What's new? The two biggest things for 2draw users are Mac OS X support, and not having to reinstall JTablet when Java updates. It also provides a number of new features for developers to make better drawing applets in the future! Swing on over to the JTablet 2 alpha site to download the ...

NicholasArt (Nov 13, 2010)
I would be interested to hear how the collaborative art experience at 2draw has changed how people go about their art. I, for one, really enjoy collaborative art. I haven't used the site too extensively yet and for the time being I am more interested in studying the different kinds of artistic interactions on the site, but I wonder how it has differed from any collaborative practice you have apart from the internet. For example, I often enjoy passing around my drawing book with a group of fr...

this is amazing.. so much goin on..like a colony in there
Teapot (Nov 9, 2010)
What a gorgeous rendering of the female form. And then, the rest is so interesting. May we know what the title is about? You should paint this on a big canvas. It belongs in a gallery show.
Bacchae (Nov 9, 2010)
When I posted this I remembered a comment by Axil68 not so long ago, saying "So you wanted to share your pain, you know, spread it around by having us look at this" - which I found funny. This drawing is all about me feeling like crap and sharing it. I was feeling old, broken and decaying... I'm glad you like it though, maybe my morbid moods are not as awful looking as I thought.
Teapot (Nov 9, 2010)
It is frightening but it's also so beautiful like much in life. I can surely relate to old, broken and decaying. She looks like she's made of molten glass... |

"Surely just having the ability to conceive of a higher authority as a possiblility would constitute a half belief."I can imagine a pink monkey driving a cement truck around Jupiter. I must "half believe" in that idea, right? No, I don't. If we're talking about a belief system (multiple beliefs, not just one), you can believe in certain aspects of that system, while dismissing others, figuratively speaking that could be called "partial belief" or having "weak belief" or "weak faith", what have you. But that's in regards to a whole system of beliefs, not a single belief. If you're talking about a single belief, you either believe it or you don't. "Any theory or fantasy relies on the same commitment to neither side, that the truth could be one way or another." Not knowing something (an unknown) is not equal to"half believing" in it e.g. I don't "half believe" in everything I don't know. Theory is a linear process, a process which is contingent on knowns, not unknowns. It's what we know that allows us to make theories, to fantasize, to hope, etc., not "half beliefs" or unknowns.

“Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.” ~ Benjamin Franklin@enigma - The show you were watching, was it "Shameless"? I'm looking forward to the Showtime remake of the British series. An agnostic is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god. They are not half-believers or riding the fence, they simply do not believe in anything without physical proof. In either case, I dig this picture, was it referenced or created?
enigma (Nov 8, 2010)
Yeah, it was shameless, and I'm not looking forward to the remake at all, I believe it should have stayed British. Also, the drawing was mostly referenced, then tweaked a little.

oneironaut (Nov 7, 2010)
I dig the second version more. The colors and flow are soothing and pleasant.

I love this one. Gorgeous and so well done.

whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. whoawhoawhoa. impressive on two counts..one: its very 'painterly' yet nice and crisp, a style i admire. two: the small details are fabulous. using a photo ref the camera picks up so much more that we cant paint on canvas or it will look off. congrats on getting that perfect amount of contrast to insinuate all the details in the photo.

The tree line above his wings annoys me quite a lot. But for the rest I really like this. |

How are the titles such as "dabbler" "master" "artist" and such things like this...i saw a title that was disturbing "unlucky" and i've been on this site for years and my title has never changed from "dabbler" so i was just wondering how that was determined...Thanks!
