Realism and the pencil tool does not mix well for me >_>
HunterKiller_ (Oct 4, 2005)
That's a nice attempt, but you must realise that 'realism' means drawing things in a realistic manner, which means there are basically no outlines, shapes are made purely from shading.
nekodesu (Oct 5, 2005)
Yeah...I'm not too familiar with my artsy terms since I don't take art classes. And let's just say non-animeish for this one then (with the exception of the nose). :) |

101_Torchic_101 (Sep 25, 2005)
Pretty ^^
KH44N (Sep 25, 2005)
I must agree. This is very pretty. Although it would look more gorgeous if you'd add some more colour to it. ^__^
Animegirl250 (Sep 25, 2005)
This is wonderful for laziness. Pretty @_@ |

Started a research about it and it's very interesting...preserving a body by freezing and later reviving it (which can happen in near future). heh inspired me to draw this eventhough it didn't come out the way I wanted it. ....blah
Caddris (Sep 18, 2005)
Yeah. The human body has an expiration date though. After a certain amount of time in cryostasis there's no hope in bringing the person back to a normal functional state. The freezing process is hard on tissues. If the person is frozen too slowly ice crystals form and damage cell walls . . . sort of like freezer burn for organs. ^__^ Cool picture though. I like the green glass and the peaceful, sleeping look on his face.
Desolate (Sep 19, 2005)
yep... Caddris is right... After that whole freezing thing happens and you thaw out the body it turns to mush. There are only 2 things frozen in such a way at the moment. The maker of a company (Alcor Foundation) that does it for $120,000 has frozen the owner/founders brother and his dog... Check out Penn & Tellers Buller$#!+ on HBO or buy it on dvd to watch the episode called Death Inc. where this is mentioned... or not... Still a great pic, great use of color. |

out of proportion..yes I know. Anyways, my junior year at my highschool started 3 days ago and I already hate some of the teachers. And they added more rules. Such as: no card games on campus or no bandanas since they cause health issues (which they did not go further into). Yep, it's going to be a great year. |

really...I have no idea.
Drummer6 (edited Sep 2, 2005)
It looks awesome, I like the hair. :)
nekodesu (Sep 4, 2005)
Thanks for the comments :)Kenshin: I've had bunch of crits from people about the neck first it was too long. Then too skinny and the list goes on. Then somebody told me that the width of the neck should be about the same as the distance between the eyes. And realistically, that's pretty accurate. But anime typically does not look realistic and sometimes it does so the width/length of the neck could vary accordingly to the artist's perferences.
~unwritten_law_girl~ (Sep 5, 2005)
omg, i love it!I agree with nekodesu, and everyone has their own style of drawing anime so there really isn't a right way to draw anime. Chibi, for example, is really off >.> heads and eyes are not larger than larger than the body it's attached to, and yet there is a lot of people that enjoy drawing chibi characters and.. what-not.
Amethysts (edited Sep 6, 2005)
I love how the hair turned out... i think I'd enjoy collaborating w/ u sometime... |

davincipoppalag (Sep 4, 2005)
Clowns are scarier than this guy neko... lol
Gemmy619 (Sep 4, 2005)
i think id rather dream about a clown than this guy lol good job :)
GOODBYE (Sep 4, 2005)
Ahh, eyes without pupils have always creeped me out, reminds me of zombies, which aren't that scary now especially after seeing shawn of the dead. Ha^ I wouldn't want to dream about this character or a clown :p |
