Very cool, sal. Reminds me of the color guard routine we're doing out at school. It's for Musical Explosion, a kind of Band/CG collaboration, and we're revolving this thing around emotions. Our emotion is 'fear', and this looks sort-a fear-inducing. XD Great draw, as always.

It looks great sal:)Maybe try to add some of the suns light that falls on the objects...ie. the sun is the light source...the hills(especially the far ones) need some light that falls on it. Also the tree needs some light on the right side of the branches to give some more depth. I think the colors works well and no colour seems misplaced at all:) This is probably one of my favourites of yours mx

THE MEANING OF LIFE...there isn't one. :p*i couldn't think of a good title so i felt like calling it this. its a picture of a guy who probably doesn't exist because i drew it from my imaaagination *does that sponge bob thingy* enjoy!

Hi BrainspillerThere is meaning to life....If there wasnt any, a baby or even our pets wouldnt have reason for us to look after them. Looking after other people and caring for others rather than ourselves has great meaning and purpose. Your painting might have meant a great deal to someone (or even the little poppie flowers painting did to my grandmother)or as the Sisteen chapels(excuse spelling) painting did to many viewers. The artists had meaning to life-their meaning might have been unknown to themselves, but unkowingly had meaning to the viewers. So dont look less at your own importance than you should. have a nice day:) mx

i agree, there is a meaning TO life because we made it that way, we make reasons for why we do things whether or not we know what the reasons are. But that isn't what i'm saying. I'm simply saying that there isn't a meaning OF life, our purpose is just simply to live as who we are, anyways To and of is 2 completely different aspects. blah! There is no meaning behind why we're here, but there is a meaning behind why we do the things we do. well thats my philosophy, it has nothing to do with importance of people. |

I like the Romancing SaGa series and SaGa Frontier (first one, didn't care for the 2nd one), the characters are nicely drawn and lovely. I am so surprised at how underrated the series is. You think with non-linear games, people would like more....Funny how things go...

Maybe consider adding more light to the road around the cat and add more definition to the cat. Have a play between "dark - light - dark" In other words...dont have the same tonalities next to each other, especially with the vocal point(the cat).
Also get rid of the white in the top corners. It makes the painting feel very unlayered. It will seem much more finished if the white is gone:)

MX: Good points, though I think the whites could work - with a bit more work!:) I know I cheated a bit there, all I can say in my defense is I concentrated on the cat since my sis doesn't really care about bushes...;) Though I have a feeling something is very wrong with the perspective and/or anatomy of the cat... just can't put my finger on it.
